    Welcome,
Somehow I am not lucky with Xiaomi phones ;) First, after ordering two pieces, one had pirated software and damaged the ability to update. The other had original software and worked well ... until today.

Redmi 3S Wives at night started the automatic update and everything went well until the phone restarted after the update. Unfortunately something had to go wrong because the phone got stuck on the boot screen of android. After about six hours, it turned off and restarted.
Immediately after starting the system, the messages "Application stopped unexpectedly" began to appear. What's worse, apart from insignificant applications (Weather, Find phone, Messenger, Meridian etc.) bigger problems began - system processes began to sit down - desktop display and system process, which basically completely immobilizes the phone. After several turns on / off the phone, the system rose in different ways. Sometimes he dumped several applications before the "system" process, sometimes none.
Currently, the phone before hanging displays only a notification about the unexpected exit of the Find phone application and then displays a message about the suspension of the system process. Once in a few starts you can tap the "Wait" or "Close" tile. When you click "Close", a window about the unresponsive "Desktop Manager" is displayed and the phone completely stops responding to anything.
I was thinking about entering Recovery mode and deleting temporary data ( Wipe Cache Data ), however ... Xiaomi removed this option. The phone enters the FastBoot and Recovery modes, so as a last resort I will be restoring the factory settings or trying to flash the ROM. The problem only occurs in the loss of important data (photos / contacts) in the event of a factory reset. When flashing ROM you also lose data stored in the phone's internal memory ?. Can you access the phone's internal memory in FastBoot mode?

When you connect a phone, the computer can't see it? If not, I hope you had the photos on your SD card and the contacts synchronized with your Google account ... otherwise you will not recover data anymore. When flashing ROM using MiFlash, the device is always cleaned to zero. It is exactly the same when uploading Custom ROMs.

The easiest way is to first make a phone memory dump from which you can extract interesting data and then load the software again.

Of course, wise Wife after the damage - there were no backups (all the more it hurts me that Xiaomi provides free 5 GB in the cloud to backup contacts, text messages or photos).

I was just wondering if MiFlash wipes the phone ...

When connecting a telephone to the computer:
My computer finds the phone - but this one defaults to "charging only" mode
MiPCSuite displays a message that you need to update your phone's software before connecting to the program.

Some guidance on how to try to copy the phone's internal memory? Alternatively, does Fastboot ADB support file operations?
Of course, the phone had the debug module turned off, so the only thing that works 100% is fastboot mode.

lenov Somehow, replying to your phone, I missed your post ...

    Okay, now the question is:
The phone has bootloader locked and USB debugging disabled. In addition, he was not registered on MIUI.
I understand that in order to flash my phone I would have to take appropriate steps?
    1. The phone must have the USB debugging option enabled, the OEM UPDATE option and the phone must be logged into the Xiaomi account.
    2. I need to get permission to unlock the phone from Xiaomi (Unlock MI) and log into the application on the Xiaomi account.
    3. Only then can you unlock the bootloader using MI Unlock.
    4. Then you can start flashing with the Mi flash application.

Hmm, I think it's time to change my interests because I'm too stupid ... :D
After a few days of maturing the phone, I decided to start it and restore it to factory settings. The first time the phone turned on and hung in a typical place. The second time it started as if nothing had happened :| .
What kind of sorcery is this ?!
In any case, I did backups, synchronizations, installed update and everything works.

Thanks for the help and topic I close.

    Greetings,
    Viktor.
