Hello. I am faced with the challenge of choosing and installing a video intercom, which would be operated via a smartphone (from anywhere). I found some interesting offers, however theory and practice are two different things. Therefore, can anyone suggest whether I will find a stable video intercom and "calling" without too much delay on the smartphone? I was looking at the products that I assemble on a daily basis, i.e. BCS / DAHUA:
    - BCS-PAN1202S - supposedly calling remotely, but the system must additionally include a BCS video monitor
    - Dahua VTO2111D-WP - here I have even less information, but I bet it will work in the same way as BCS.
The only question that bothers me is whether the "pushup" notification will work in the above solutions - then the gDMSS application would have to work in the background all the time, in my opinion, and when it comes to using ordinary cameras - I doubt it.
I am asking for any hints on how to solve the situation, or maybe other producers?

And what did the author of the topic choose?
I am faced with the same choice :)

The investor paused with the topic, so unfortunately I will not help.

We have recently become a partner of DoorBird and in the tests, push notifications work beautifully (notification about the call and optional motion detection by the sensor), and the application itself is very easy to use and intuitive.

Of course, it all depends on the settings on the phone - the application must be able to run in the background and must have permission to push notifications.

    I warmly welcome
Maybe I will stick to the topic because I have a similar "problem". I am looking for a video intercom that calls my cell phone if there is no response from the internal panel. In addition to other, typically videophone functions, I also require opening the entrance gate. A nice addition would be an encoder on the external panel or a fingerprint reader, although in this case I am afraid if I would fit in the budget, which is, say, up to approx. 3,000. PLN. Unfortunately, I did not find too many models on the web that met my conditions (maybe I was looking wrong, that's why I am asking here), and if I found something, my enthusiasm about a given model passed when I read the reviews about its mobile application. The only model I found with relatively positive opinions from the mobile application is the Bticino AV KIT L3000 300X. Unfortunately, the external panel of this miracle allows you to open the wicket only with key rings, which, to be honest, suits me on average, but in the end I am able to get over this inconvenience. Has any of the forum members had contact with this model and could write a few words about it?
Could you recommend any other model that meets my requirements?

Biticino was nice (everything worked), but the panel-cell conversation was so weak that the customers opened the gate-gate earlier than they got along with who wanted :)

How about the image quality of this Bticino, especially at night? Can you easily recognize the caller's face? Maybe some other equipment suggestions that meet my requirements?

I can only say that despite my extensive experience with various video intercom systems, I have basically never encountered a system that gives a good picture in the dark
from the panel, good, i.e. comparable to CCTV cameras. Usually, the image from cameras in panels (close distances, difficult way to adjust the lighting) is a quality gap for CCTV cameras.
We had a lot of cases where we installed a system, a good picture during the day, and a phone in a few days to come and see what you can see at night. We come and see a quality similar to that posted by another forum member: https://obrazki.elektroda.pl/3921120600_1552328243.jpg
And there is no rule here, Chinese or branded equipment, so don't expect HD quality here :)

Well, unless the panel has a decent IR and a real black and white night mode. I am looking at the preview of the test panel in the office (no light) and I can safely check if my colleague has a brothel on his desk, how many boxes are on the shelves next to it, or if someone left a cup on a cabinet 2 meters away ;) But you have to invest a little more money than in Bticino.

I have practically no contact with video intercoms, but you are probably describing a situation in which the illuminator of such a camera has something to "reflect" on - you have a cabinet 2m away (closed space, i.e. walls). And such a webcam mounted at the door / wicket has practically nothing to "bounce" from, because there is a street or a whole yard in front of it.
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

The video intercom is not monitoring. It's not about catching the details of the yard at night, but showing the person standing in front of / near the camera as more than a fuzzy, blurry bright spot. So it will "bounce" ;)

DoorBird. For now, there are only external panels (as the receiver they suggest a tablet on the wall), but they seem to work well with some Grandstreams / Yealinks - although we haven't tested it yet. Not the cheapest but worth every euro ;)

Then take a screenshot in the absence of lighting.

DoorBird: no internet -> intercom useless ...

Personally, I prefer, firstly, the usual analog wired solutions, secondly, if IP is also working in the local network. However, a small percentage of customers have any idea about setting up network connections, and more and more want everything on their mobile. The customer is our master, you should have ready options for everyone :) DB will start even a child in the basic scope.

Coming back to the question I asked a few posts above. Has anyone had any contact and can write a few more words about the Bticino AV KIT L3000 300X, or recommend something similar for a price of up to 3,000?
