    Hello,
    I wondered for a long time in which section to put the topic. If I didn't succeed, please transfer.

    He's been searching the internet for some time, but I haven't found anything interesting.
    To the point:
    1) Can an alternative SIM card be used for Yanosik GT that will work?
    (I tried Aero2 but SYS lights up red and doesn't show active users)
    2) can you increase the GPS sensitivity relatively non-invasively? I have the device permanently installed in the dashboard and it doesn't catch FIX very well. I was thinking about an external antenna that can be attached in place of the original or in parallel with the standard. Maybe some other ideas?
    3) Does anyone know the combination of buttons to turn on the satellite power display?
    52 seconds of video https://youtu.be/8sxHtObHG-8?t=46
    4) I need the contents of the SD card

    I will be grateful for any hint.

    Hello
    I don't know the answer to your questions, but I decided to write. I wonder if, for example, it is possible to change the firmware in GT to have a GTR. It seems to me that this is the same device only differs soft. I don't have information on the current speed limit in GT what GTR has
    best regards

    One more question.
    Which file on the memory card is the home screen wallpaper?
    There are a lot of .BMP files on the memory card that cannot be opened by any of the popular applications.
    Maybe some hint?

    The problem here is probably wrong settings, e.g. APN access point name, only where and what can be changed.

    I warmly welcome
    there are 4 partitions in the FAT16 0x6 system on the SD card
    only one is visible
    3 are hidden
    on those hidden are files with info about the last activation status
    but in the new version 1.1.4.3 (?) they are not visible in the old content could be viewed.
    I am interested in whether GT can be converted to GTR.
    Best regards.

    Exploring Yanosik GT: Use of Alternative SIM, Increasing GPS Sensitivity, and SD Card Content Hello again under Windows xp I was able to read the SD card from yanosika GT
    the file was located on the 4th partition of the card

    Gentlemen, how are you getting inside GT / GTR? I can't discuss how to break in there. I would like to bury in the SD card, maybe something will work. Does anyone work with a different operator (a different card than the one for Neptis?)

    The card works but does not work what is entered in the device.
    You need to pry the keyboard on the left and gently pull the cover outwards. Only gently with some plastic tool

    Ok, I opened it. Thanks. I just understand that since the APN stitched in the sofia (hidden partition of the mSD card) does not work with another card (there is no right), then Yanosik will not work. Has anyone managed to change APN, e.g. to the internet, and make it move? I am asking because maybe APN neptis.pl gives IP from some specific class and servers block other connections, so the game is not worth the candle.

    After the IP from the laptop I logged in to the server. So it should work on public APN.

    Okay, I've explored the topic. Actually, there are 4 partitions. The last one has files with the system version and SETTINGS.TXT file sewn in

    Quote:

    Distance10km = 1
    VolumeLevel = 3
    Brightness = 1
    RoamingRights = 1
    RoamingListVersion = 5
    Language = EN
    Activation = 1
    Subscription = 18,6,11
    StaticPOIVersion = 0
    POI_SD_Validity = 18,4,24
    HasNumber = 0
    AutoDayNight = 1
    InfoAccident = 1
    InfoRoadWorks = 0
    InfoStoppedCar = 0
    MotorGraphic = 0
    InfoUndercover = 1
    InfoFoto = 1
    InfoInspection = 1
    InfoDanger = 1
    ConfPrompt = 0
    MidButton = 0
    Park_Serv = 0
    SkyCashRemainderCounter = 1
    Park_Last = 0,0,0,0

    Subscription line = 18, 11.11 is responsible for the expiry date of the transfer on the SIM card. I will add that despite the passage of time, the card still works and connects to the Yanosik servers. Unfortunately, only to announce that the transfer has already ended.
    And I tried to change the date. Unfortunately - Yanosik ignores changes. I tried to lock the file (read only) so that it could not overwrite the settings. It also did nothing. That would be too easy.
    We return to the starting point.
    Defining APN must be stapled in the software file. Above, a colleague threw in a fragment of the modem boot sequence. I don't know if neptis.pl is APN, but I didn't try because the system verifies file checksums. I do not know whether at download or at system startup. For now I give up, but if someone comes across something, let me know.
    Of course, my intention is not to "trick" a paid service, but only to learn the principle of the system. This is not a very sophisticated technology, but it works relatively stable. And it's a pity that with a significant reduction in prices for data transfer, Yanosik still keeps high prices for annual subscriptions. But that's marketing ...

    I was away for a moment and the topic moved a little :)
    I didn't know there were hidden partitions on the card. I need to play in my free time.
    I have bought a subscription for now, but maybe everything will be clear by then :)
    Does anyone know which file is responsible for the startup screen image?

    Anyone have the contents of an SD card? It keeps resetting and stuttering. At the start, barely half of the text "no GPS signal" is loaded later, reset again and in a circle, when the SD card is removed, it stops restarting so I suspect that something is wrong with it. At the stage when the Yanosik logo is displayed, you can click anything later cuts to the max, and after the warranty ...

    Hi, I lost my SD card in the GTR, by the way, I suggest not to leave it in the sun and in a hot vehicle.

    Does anyone have the ripped GTR content and can share it?

    Hi, I have not received the image of the SD card, nor am I able to rip the contents of my card due to bad sectors on the card. Most likely, I will sell or try to sell Yanosik for 500 PLN, because the phone application works perfectly.

    If anyone has an image for Yanosik GTR, please send me a link.

    After a year it died... and the info from the website when I asked for the image.

    "The reported problem with the device has been analyzed by us. The device requires service repair.

    Please complete the form available at https://yanosik.pl/rma. Our service will contact you by e-mail to arrange the shipment of the device.

    As for the device itself, one of the cheapest cards has been placed there, and different temperature conditions can occur in the car.

    I have the old R, the first one. My SD card died, I have a 2Gb regular one, not even a micro one, I didn't have to copy anything, I inserted a blank card from the store and the device started working again on its own, I didn't even format it.
    The card is intensively ground as an on-board disk and cell degradation is quite rapid.

    After one of the Yanosik GTRs kept resetting, turning off, or hanging on some message that lasted 30 seconds and annoyed the driver until I unplugged it, I took the device apart and tried to copy a copy of the SD card. It turned out to be one big bad sector and it was of no use. There were 4 partitions on the card, but only one was completely correct.

    I took apart the second device, surprisingly two years older, i.e. from 2018, made a clone of the card, inserted it into the one from 2020 and everything works flawlessly. Logs in to the cellular network and GPS. In "system information", everyone identifies themselves with their ID from the sticker and provides the correct expiration dates for data transmission, as if the software on the card was just software, and the remaining identifications are made at the hardware level.

    The motherboards of the devices are quite different. The 2018 device has a full SIM card, the 2020 device has a nanoSIM. The SD card slot is in different places, the board layout is also completely different. Maybe this information will help someone, because I was looking for information myself, and there is almost none. In my case, the job was trivial, no interference with the software, APN, card PIN, etc. is needed. Both devices have active data transmission.

    Two disassembled Yanosik GTR devices with exposed buttons and a screwdriver on a wooden desk. Yanosik GTR device motherboard with visible electronic components.

    @breshnew If anyone needs a picture of the card, please send me a private message. There are identifiers in the software which device is the donor, once I clear it, I will upload the bare image.
    @epiotr2 perhaps it is paired somehow in newer versions? I bought the last Yanosik in January 2020 and so far I have managed to reactivate it

    Hello, I have a question, I have a Yanosik GT that is heavily damaged and the repair is not worth it (lifetime data transmission) and I also have another Yanosik GT but without transmission, and I have a question: is it possible to transfer the "active license" to another device? Has anyone done this?
