    Hello, I have:
    - Tv samsung ue55ju6800
    - ferguson fbox atv
    - pioneer vsx-329-k
I have a problem with how to connect it all to get 5.1 sound on ferguson movies. Now I have a box connected via HDMI to TV and TV via ARC to the receiver and theoretically 5.1 works, but probably it is artificially created by the TV (NEO 2: 5 option (no other option)). My plan is to connect the box via HDMI to TV and optical to the receiver. Will it be an exam? From what I have read, my receiver does not have a standby function, so that it passes the signal in sleep mode, and I want to be able to watch the box without turning on the receiver. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.

This is very doubtful. If the ARC does not have a 5.1 signal, the more the optical output will not have this signal.

I see two ways of solving this problem here.
But you will need a test.
I would like to check whether the Ferguson Box outputs the audio signal simultaneously via HDMI and its optical output.
Personally, I doubt it, but with the current variety of hardware, who knows.
Unfortunately, the manual of this device omits the topic of settings at all.

    Test:
    - disable Anynet + and ARC on the TV
    - disable HDMI-CEC (Control) in Pioneer
    - connect Ferguson Box with the amplifier with the optical cable TosLink.
    - turn on the movie with 5.1 sound in Ferguson and check that the sound will be heard in the amp speakers.
Check all inputs just in case, although the manual says that the optical input is assigned to "TV".

Note here - do not change any settings in the Ferguson Box!

Follow up on this issue after receiving your test result.

Anynet a arc is the same? What does anynet give, because I think I will turn it off anyway because there is still a message popping up. I checked yesterday and you can play the sound after the optical one, and the HDMI image works, but today I have to try the movies on Kodi because it can play DTS and AC3.

    It is not the same.
Anynet + - this is Samsung's version of HDMI-Control - TV manufacturers give their names to this feature.
ARC is turned on separately, and HDMI-Control here Anynet must be activated if you want to use ARC.

Please explain this further - the wording is very unclear.

Yes it is the same name used by Samsung only.
Dts 5.1. and TrueHD and the atmosphere are obtained from FboxATV via HDMI ... In the box settings we can set the format of the emitted sound and it is generated for the equipment that must also support this path.
Unfortunately, it will not go through optical above Dolby Plus.
I checked all the configurations and it is as described above.
I will just add that Tv samsung ue55ju6800 does not support Dts, so I do not know how, regardless of the connection, would you like to get it, buddy mmxxl?
I see a connection error. It should be like this:
    - TV (ARC socket) to the receiver "out" via HDMI
    - Fbox TV for "in" receiver
