    Hello,

As in the subject of the problem with ARC, Yamaha 483 and Samsung mu7000. The problem is that when you turn on the sound on the TV, whether it is netflix or YT shows on the TV the sound output to the HDMI receiver and after 3 seconds switches to TV. After a dozen again on the HDMI receiver and over and over again. When the HDMI receiver is set as the audio output, nothing is heard from the speakers.

I tried 3 different HDMI cables including the more expensive premium ones with Ethernet, all the same.

Anynet + (HDMI-CEC) on TV, Ampli HDMI Control on ON, ARC on ON. I don't know what else to check.

For what? The last 0.75m cost almost PLN 100, bandwidth 18 GB / s and 4k, of course with Ethernet. The same as on the cable from the set and the other one bought for PLN 30.

After turning Anynet + on, ARC should also be turned on on the TV.
In Samsung, you need to set external speakers as the audio signal output.
Also in the TV settings check the standard of the audio signal sent to the amplifier - set to Dolby or Auto.

There is nowhere to turn ARC on / off in this model. As for the output setting for external speakers, you can only switch to an HDMI receiver and not external speakers, but this source disappears after a few seconds and then appears again after a dozen or so.

    you can:

    - check if there is new software for these devices

    - disconnect them from the power supply for a minimum of 5 min. When switching on, first connect the amplifier to the network, and after a few minutes the TV.
Check operation only after a few minutes after connecting to the network.

    - perform a factory reset.
You have to be aware of the fact that you will have to set these devices back to your needs.

    Subject resolved.

It turned out that all the fault of the Vectra decoder which I also connected.
    I did this:
I unplugged the decoder from the receiver and restored the factory settings on the amp. After switching on, I configured everything as before but without a connected decoder. Switching on the TV via ampli and one remote control works, if I start YT or Netflix on the TV, the source switches to AUDIO1, which is how it should be. After all I connected the decoder and that's it. If it switches the source to Vectera, then the remote control works but the on / off does not.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with HDMI ARC connectivity between a Yamaha RX-V483 receiver and a Samsung 49MU7000 TV. The user experiences a problem where the audio output switches from the receiver to the TV after a few seconds when using apps like Netflix or YouTube. Despite trying multiple high-quality HDMI cables and ensuring HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) and ARC settings are enabled, the issue persists. Suggestions include checking for software updates, power cycling the devices, and performing a factory reset. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by disconnecting a Vectra decoder, which was interfering with the audio output settings. After reconfiguring the devices without the decoder, the HDMI ARC functionality worked correctly.
