    Hello

I have internet at UPC. The editor recently led one coaxial cable to my apartment.

I bought a sat r tv socket (photo attached) and I do not know how to connect the upc cable to the socket and then connect the modem to this socket.

I am a complete layman and I am asking for help.

Hello. Everything is shown in the picture. Bind the cable as shown. We put the screen cable under the plate as I marked and the hot one we put under this screw. Connecting UPC Internet Coaxial Cable to a SAT R TV Socket for Modem Setup - Step-by-Step Guide .

I only have this one cable.
At UPC, they told me that it is used for internet and TV (if I purchase such a service). So if I connect only this existing coaxial cable under this plate, the internet will work?

The question remains about the parameters of the cable I need to use to connect the modem to the socket.

I don't know what "hot" means.

    Sorry

What kind of modem will it be? For a coaxial cable? "hot". is copper wire in coaxial insulation? And before you start installing it, find out what model of this modem?

Ok, then you just frame such a cable with F plugs and you will have a modem connection. And this cable just needs to be connected to this socket, as I described to you in the picture, and from the socket you will connect a framed cable with TYPE F plugs to the modem. "And the screen cable is this shielded cover on the copper cable?" Exactly.

It's just to be sure: this thick copper wire to the red G and the screen (that silver cover) under the plate?

That's exactly where there is such a small hole, if you let go of this screw, you will see the hole and insert it there and then twist it so that it does not pop out and then tighten the copper screen under this plate as it is.
