    Hello,
I handed the car to the Honda authorized service center for valve regulation (according to the km interval). Before adjusting everything was ok. The engine was perfect.
After adjustment, I noticed a problem with starting the car on a cold engine in frost. After starting the engine, the speed rises from 500 to 1700 revolutions, after a while it gives way. When starting, you have to give a lot of gas so that it does not go out. Another thing is how the engine is still cold and I push the clutch reaching the intersection, the turnover is so low that the lights dim (within 500 rpm) and in a moment it raises to normal.
Everything is fine on a warm engine. The symptoms disappear.
I called the Dealership and they said it was electric, and the valves are well adjusted, they can check again and if their error improves, and if not again I have to pay for the service.
As I wrote earlier, everything was ok until I made the valve adjustment. Honda 1.8 vtec 2008 without LPG.
    Please help.

Take a look under the mask, maybe something did not connect, such as underpressure or ankle.

Under the hood, everything is ok. And if something would not be stuck on a warm engine, he would not drive normally.

And by any chance, they did not set the clearances on the warm engine?

It may be so, but take it to prove it ...
The car was at their place for more than two weeks (painting repair from insurance), at that time I called to make the valves adjust. It could be that they fired, they put the car in the workshop and took control, and I know that the engine must be completely cold for this operation. I'll go to the Dealership on Saturday and let them know how the conversation went, because they say by phone that they did everything as they had to.

Valves checked, everything is ok. Probably it was a fuel problem ... Since I changed the fuel station the problem resolved ... The car fires without any problems with those frosts (-15 degrees). I recommend, however, refuel at patron stations and not the name "prywaciarz" (even if it is your friend).
    greetings

Fuel fuel from a fuel station.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues experienced with a 2008 Honda Civic VIII 1.8 VTEC after a valve adjustment performed at an authorized service center. The owner reports difficulty starting the engine in cold conditions, with RPM fluctuations from 500 to 1700 during startup and low RPMs causing dimming lights when the clutch is engaged. The dealership suggested the problem might be electrical, despite the owner asserting that the valve adjustment was the likely cause. After further investigation, it was determined that the issue was related to fuel quality, as switching fuel stations resolved the starting problems even in freezing temperatures.
