    Hey,
I have a very strange problem with my laptop. Well, I have Asus R540L and for some time I have a problem with the network card. One evening the internet broke off and a red cross with a cable appeared to me in the place. I tried to turn the computer on and off and uninstalled the drivers for the network card, but nothing helped. I did a system restore, but it only helped for a few hours and stopped working again. I finally made a format that helped for a few days, but today the same problem appeared again. Have any of you encountered such a problem and know what to do about it? Is it better to give a laptop for warranty? Thanks for the help!

How does the card see the device manager? Does the laptop have a WiFi switch on the housing or a keyboard shortcut to turn WiFi on / off?

Replace the second wifi card for diagnostic purposes.

The laptop sees the network card (Realtek RTL8723BE), but when I open it in the device manager, I have the code 10 (Unable to start the device. This device does not exist). There is only a keyboard shortcut for turning airplane mode on / off.

And how to do it and what to look for?

You must disassemble the laptop. You can do it on youtube. When you lift the top cover, the wifi card is right next to the fan. It is easy to replace, there is good access.

The xxx 540l models have design flaws. They are manifested by turning off any WIFI card after some time, sometimes this fate also affects the keyboard. Changing the card doesn't help, the BIOS doesn't help. Turning off energy saving and all other combinations do not help. It's just that the board stops seeing the card after some time and the reset helps. Also not always. It is quite likely that the chipset is responsible for the problem, maybe there is some defect. I encountered this problem on 4 A540Ls.
