Hello, I have an Audi A3 8P 1.9 TDI 2005. without Fisa. At some point, the opening of the car stopped working for me in the remote control. After replacing the battery, nothing works anymore, only mechanically. I used to have the same thing but it was enough to pull out and insert the batteries. Now I've tried with two new batteries and nothing. I will add that this is my only key. I tried what is in the instructions but I do not know if I did it right because it did not help ... Please advice. Best regards!

By saying that the key does not work, do you mean the remote control from the central lock?

No button on the remote control or just open? Personally, I already had 3 remotes from 8p where the buttons did not work either from opening or closing (or both at once), but the button from opening the flap worked. Of course, in this case, microswitches had to be replaced.

You press on the remote control open. You close and open the car with the key and again with the remote control you chase.

It turned out that 2 new batteries that I bought in the supermarket were depleted, apparently stale. I bought a third from a car locksmith and brought the remote control back to life functions. :D Subject to close.

The discussion revolves around an Audi A3 8P 1.9 TDI (2005) remote control issue after a battery replacement. The user reported that the remote control for the central locking system stopped functioning entirely, despite trying two new batteries. Responses clarified that the problem was likely with the remote control itself, as previous experiences indicated that button malfunctions could occur. Ultimately, the user discovered that the two new batteries purchased from a supermarket were stale, and after acquiring a fresh battery from a car locksmith, the remote control was restored to working condition.
