    Hello,

I would like to install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on the Asus R541n, which is without a system. I am a layman and I only know how to install this system from an ordinary Bios. Here, however, the computer stops at 'Starting Windows' and does not move anymore. From what I've read, this Asus has UEFI instead of Biosa and I have to set this system first on the CMS BIOS - how can I do it when I have no such option? For now, I have somehow set up, that I am booting from the CD (because the tile, however, it starts up), fast boot and secure boot disabled.

Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hello!
In the BIOS settings find the switching from "UEFI" to "Launch BIOS", set "Launch BIOS" and it should work.

Thank you - I have a problem with finding any type of 'Launch Bios' option. By the way, do I definitely have UEFI? As the 'Bios Utility' system appears to me - though it does not look like a typical Bios ... Attached photo.

    There is unfortunately.

    Added after 6 [minutes]:

I have an SSD drive and not HDD - if it helps in something.

Windows 7 Setup hangs at "Starting Windows" on Surface Pro wrote:
    Symptoms
If you attempt to install 64-bit version of Windows 7 on a Surface Pro or other UEFI-based computer, the Setup may hang at "Starting Windows" screen and the Setup process may not complete.

    Cause
The computer does not support legacy BIOS interrupt 10 (INT 10H).

    Resolution
Check the BIOS settings to verify if the computer allows you to enable Compatibility Support Module (CSM) or legacy BIOS Interrupt 10 (INT 10H).
Contact the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) or hardware manufacture for additional information.

Note: If your computer does not support above mentioned options then you cannot run Windows 7 on the computer.

    More Information
The Surface Pro is a Class 3 UEFI device that does not support legacy BIOS Interrupt 10 (INT 10H) video transitioning and it requires Windows 8 or later operating systems to run.

And that explains a lot - that you just need a newer system. However, having links to the bios (version 305 and 314) I still wanted to try to reinstall my version - 309 and try the last time with Win 7. Pendrive with unpacked file (and only it) connected to the paw, but it does not work - nothing happens in the 'Boot' option I have the pendrive as the first and only disk (I tried first with version 305 and then 314) - for comparison, the CD with Win, however, started itself. Is here I can not set it up so that when I was turned on, something happened to me from the pendrive? (photos attached)

Generally the best option is probably to buy Win 10 - the same model laptop with a system of PLN 300 more. The world is moving forward :)

See if you have something like Secure Boot - enabled (Security tab). If you turn it off you will be able to change UEFI for example Legacy Boot.

I have disabled secure boot and the fast boot option is turned off. There is no 'legacy boot' option or switching to 'cms', only with secure boot is the information that if the option is active then cms is turned off.

Try to create a new boot method by yourself, you have that option in the Boot tab. I remember that I had to deal with such a BIOS and dealt with this problem.

One of the pictures shows that you have the opportunity to create a boot plan there, specifically the penultimate photo. Maybe it is worth being interested in this option? It's about the "Boot Option" and the ability to delete and add new ones.

As part of the help link:

To know what parameters to set.

And to boot from an external device at startup, press and hold "Esc"

It will not turn itself on - you have to run the built-in EZ Flash 3 and choose * .rom from a pendrive or disk.

IMO: here is a weak processor N3350, W10, despite the presence of SSD, will comfort the use of this equipment ...

Thank you very much for your help - I decided however to return the laptop and order the same but still with the system. Thanks for the info on how to start from the pendrive (I had no idea, but it could not be done). By the way I also asked for help would seem a more competent person than me and the problem also has not been resolved (reportedly at the Biosu level in this case it is impossible to run / install the Biosu 305 v 314 version, it can be done only from the already installed system ).

I hope, however, that this processor + SSD + Win 10 is not the worst solution, the computer is not bad, and in principle as to the requirements it will have only moderate web browsing so without madness. I had no experience with SSD, but at least the computer was running faster than mine :)

    Thank you and best regards.
