I bought an ASUS STRIX laptop with a factory installed Windows 10 (i.e. I do not have an installation CD W10).
I would like to uninstall W10 and upload the original W7, but nowhere can I find how to do it. The only guides I found were "Restore factory settings", "Return to previous version of Windows", etc.
I found something else: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSOBt0TUXL8, but I do not know if it is safe and worth the candle and if it works like I put a plate with Windows 7 (for now I get a window with a description : "Windows can not update the installation files." "To install Windows, close the installer and run the installation again. Error code: 0x6" - I understand that W10 does not allow me to install the older version.

In general, I mean formatting a Windows 10 drive so that I can easily install W7

I am asking for help and thank you in advance.

In bios you choose to boot from the drive, put in the system disc and install 7.
The size of the partition and format will be done during installation ...

Only that I do not have a normal bias, unless I'm wrong and I go through F2 not in what I need ... in any case, I did not find there the option to run the disc from the drive. Transitioning from Factory Installed Windows 10 to Original Windows 7 on ASUS STRIX Laptop

If it were so simple, I would not write about my problem here ;)

This is probably for more advanced and in addition English. There is a translator to Uncle Googel, but from this I see, it is some black magic, as for me :(

I did as you wrote, I just had to insert the installation CD first to let me detect the drive. The installation started and then the blue screen; (

    I7-7700HQ processor

I found something like on the screen in the system. Is this synonymous with the format of the entire computer (laptop)?

Scroll (usually with the PgUp / PgDn or +/- keys) Boot Option Priorities so that the disc is in the first place.

    1) Asus Strix ROG GL553VE from I7
    2) Note regarding Google is unnecessary as well as the first link
    3) I will try the third link

I did not solve it. The proposal excluding USB in USB did not help. With the automatic installation of the W10, I turned off the laptop and fell to the rest, so I close the topic. I found on some other forum that I should take out the disk and format it on a PC. So I will do it and when the W10 installation goes, I will leave it this way.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around transitioning from factory-installed Windows 10 to original Windows 7 on an ASUS STRIX laptop. The user lacks an installation CD for Windows 10 and seeks guidance on uninstalling it to install Windows 7. Responses suggest using GParted LIVE for partition management and adjusting BIOS settings to boot from the installation disc. The user encounters difficulties, including a blue screen during installation and error code 0x6, indicating Windows 10's restrictions on downgrading. Further troubleshooting involves confirming the laptop's specifications, specifically the Intel i7-7700HQ processor, and considering external formatting of the drive. Ultimately, the user contemplates formatting the drive on another PC to facilitate the installation process.
