Hello. I am writing here because I have exhausted all my knowledge and experience. I will describe everything from the very beginning. It's like this: I have a BMW e46 320d 136Km from 2000 . 2 days after changing the oil to 10w40, the level was above the MAX, the red light from the oil came on, then yellow and went out. One day, unfortunately, it caught fire for the second time, but it went out. When I was driving up the hill, the car went out in silence in one second, I went down the straight, but after adding gas it went out immediately. I called my friend and he fired again in the hall. Without gas, I waited 10 minutes, I added GAS and here the speed drops to 550-880 max, accompanied, of course, by the oil indicator. After this situation, a tow truck and a garage. In the tank I found 5l of fuel in the tank with a pump + 3l in reserve on the overflow. What I did:
    - I disassembled the whole top and got to the cables that go from the VP44 pump controller with a 1.5V bulb, I checked the voltage. Flashes while shooting
-I dismantled the high pressure solenoid valve, took it to bosh service to check it - OK
    - I soldered everything, put it together and secured it.
    -new fuel filter
    -l let off excess oil

It still does not smoke, so I poured 10L of fuel clean and it spins. There is fuel from the pump on the pipes, but the injectors were blown through. I take out engine oil here. I cleaned it, tightened it, there are no rinses. OK When de-aerating the injectors, about 3 seconds for oil to flow. The fuel seems to run back down.

The car is stationary in this condition, I don't know what to check next. It fires on the cake, as is the fuel system. Maybe I did something wrong, 1 time I have such a problem with diesel. If someone has encountered similar symptoms or has an idea in this topic, I am asking for advice. My suggestion is air in the beginning from low fuel level, it used to be less and it drove but that's when. A good venting advice alone would be of great help. All I know is that this pump will never vent itself. Yes, but not the pump itself. Please help and thank you for all the advice. ;) greetings :D

Was any diagnostics done, or was everything in the dark? Pump in the tank / threshold checked?

The threshold has no m47, no CR. Computer diagnostics were not just blindfolded

I just never remember, but you have a pump in the tank for sure, its pressure value is around 0.8 bar.
Plug in something, at least there will be recognition of an electrical problem or fuel, because something lights up too much for you.

The pressure of 0.6 should be ok in my opinion, but I will check it again. abs sensors and a Christmas tree right away hehe

Hello . For posterity, when they open the topic, the culprit was the injection pump and the detailed broken 2 springs. greetings

What was the cost of refurbishing the injection pump and where was it done, if not a secret?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a BMW e46 320d (2000) experiencing starting issues after an oil change and subsequent engine shutdowns. The owner reported an oil level above maximum and the activation of oil warning lights. After the car stalled while driving, it was towed to a garage. Initial troubleshooting included checking the fuel level and inspecting the VP44 injection pump controller. Responses from the forum suggested checking the fuel pump pressure, with a consensus that the injection pump was likely the culprit. Ultimately, it was confirmed that the injection pump had broken springs, leading to the starting issues.
