Hello. I have Netisa as in the description. I would like the router to receive the net from the main router on the 5GHz band but then forward it to the LAN sockets. Is such a setting possible at all? If so, how to set it up?

The signal level in the room / place where NETIS will stand is important.
Know that 5GHz is poorly carried in buildings, through walls, etc.
2.4 GHz travels better in buildings,

When I played with the settings a bit, it came out that there is about 80% of the signal. That's what Netis pointed out. Generally, in a place where the router will stand I have an external 5GHz Edimax panel WiFi card. According to Speedtest, ~ 180Mbit with 250Mbit reaches it. The distance from the router is about 15M. The main router is Arris TG2492 from Toya. Which is generally stronger than Netis. About ~ 130Mbit reached Edimax from Netis. But I hope that the power of the main router plus Netis will get those 200Mbit.

Everything is cool, but I don't know where to put it all. The router has a multitude of functions and I don't know what to change to make it work. Could it be more descriptive of such a pathology?

I also don't have (I don't even want to) this router model so you need to download the manual and try to configure it. Nobody will do the black work for you. Give some screenshots of the configuration, maybe we'll come up with something here in the forum.

Approx. These are some screenshots. If that wasn't enough, I will do more, I have no idea what might be needed.

I set these settings in 2.4 GHz and 5GHz settings. But it does nothing. After connecting the router to the laptop with a cable I have a yellow padlock and no net at each of these settings. What else can you change (move) to force the router to work?

Here is a router menu emulator.

ehhh, 2 years ago I played with this netis and I don't remember everything, maybe try it again - Network -> WAN -> WAN Type select Wireless then fill in everything on this card, and on the LAN tab set the address from a different network than on this one access router - just change the number in the third octet

And how can I check which LAN address on the main router? Everything was visible on netis. And in this new is only this:

I still tried to enter the router by entering the address in the browser but it does not connect. Probably it was blocked by Toy.

connect to this router from the operator, then on the command line enter ipconfig / all, in the results of the command you will receive an address, gate and mask

Unfortunately, nothing helps. When I entered the LAN address then I couldn't get to Netis anymore. I took some pics.

It's from the command line it's from the main router.
    Edit.
I played a little and the computer to which Netis is connected recognized it. But there is no internet access. Just as if Netis would not capture the net. I entered the IP settings and no effect. And this is how it looks.

Gentlemen, Netis cannot be configured with Router from Toya. Even a specialist in such matters could not cope. Toya probably blocked this possibility not to amplify the signal and not share it with neighbors. Therefore, it is probably impossible to enter the main router, and change the type turn off Wifi etc. can be made only through the user's account. Well nothing Netis will go on sale. Regards.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around configuring the Netis WF2780 router to receive a 5GHz signal from a main router (Arris TG2492) and forward it to LAN sockets. Users highlight the challenges of signal strength and penetration of 5GHz frequencies in buildings. Initial suggestions include setting the router to Client mode and performing an AP scan to connect to the main network. However, users encounter issues with network access, indicated by a yellow padlock symbol. Further troubleshooting involves checking WAN settings and ensuring the LAN address is correctly configured. Ultimately, it is suggested that the Netis router may not be compatible with the main router due to restrictions imposed by the ISP (Toya), leading to the conclusion that the setup may not be feasible.

FAQ

TL;DR: Netis WF2780 can bridge 5 GHz-to-LAN when signal is strong; users saw ~180 Mbit at ~15 m and "about 80% of the signal." [Elektroda, Davvvi, post #17082619]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps Netis WF2780 owners pull 5 GHz from a main router and feed wired devices reliably.

Quick Facts

How do I set the Netis WF2780 to receive 5 GHz and forward to LAN ports?

Use the WAN‑Wireless method to bridge 5 GHz to Ethernet.
  1. Network > WAN: set WAN Type to Wireless and configure SSID/password.
  2. LAN: set the WF2780’s LAN IP to a different subnet than the main router.
  3. Save, reboot, and use the LAN ports for your devices. This avoids IP conflicts that block access. [Elektroda, rafish, post #17094534]

Where in the WF2780 UI do I enable Client mode and scan the 5 GHz network?

Go to Wireless > Wireless Settings. Set Radio Mode to Client, click AP Scan, select your SSID, and enter the password. The router should connect. [Elektroda, rafish, post #17092272]

Does the WF2780 support 5 GHz client/bridge mode?

Yes. The WF2780 offers Access Point, Repeater, AP+WDS, WDS, and Client modes. Use Client mode to link it to your main router. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17082493]

I get a yellow padlock and no internet on Ethernet. How do I fix it?

Set Network > WAN to Wireless, then fill SSID and security details. In LAN settings, change the WF2780’s LAN IP to a different subnet than the main router. Apply changes and reconnect to the new LAN IP. [Elektroda, rafish, post #17094534]

How do I find my main router’s IP, gateway, and subnet on Windows?

Connect to the ISP router’s Wi‑Fi. Open Command Prompt and run: ipconfig /all. Note IPv4 Address, Default Gateway, and Subnet Mask. Use these to choose a different LAN subnet on the WF2780. [Elektroda, rafish, post #17094805]

Why is my 5 GHz performance low through walls or at range?

5 GHz attenuates more indoors than 2.4 GHz, reducing speed through obstacles. "5GHz is poorly carried in buildings." Place the WF2780 where the 5 GHz signal remains strong and stable. [Elektroda, LucekB, post #17082513]

Can I reach 200 Mbit over a 5 GHz client-to-LAN bridge with WF2780?

It depends on signal quality and interference. One user measured ~180 Mbit at ~15 m directly, and ~130 Mbit via the WF2780 link. Hitting 200 Mbit requires excellent 5 GHz signal and clean spectrum. [Elektroda, Davvvi, post #17082619]

What if everything looks right but WF2780 still won’t pass internet?

Some ISP routers restrict third‑party bridges. With an Arris TG2492 from Toya, pairing reportedly failed despite correct steps. Even a specialist could not make it work. Consider ISP support or different hardware. [Elektroda, Davvvi, post #17109904]

How can I practice or verify menu options without the device handy?

Use the Netis WF2780 web UI emulator to explore Wireless, WAN, and LAN pages. This helps plan your configuration step‑by‑step. [Elektroda, Davvvi, post #17092032]

How do I confirm WF2780 actually sees a strong 5 GHz signal?

After AP Scan and selecting your SSID, check the UI signal indicator. One case showed about 80% signal and usable speed. Place the WF2780 where this indicator remains high. [Elektroda, Davvvi, post #17082619]
