    Hello
I have had this Lenovo Yoga2-1050L tablet for about 4 years, I had no problems with it until yesterday. For unknown reasons the tablet rebooted and started in safe mode. The problem is that it currently cannot be turned on in normal mode. By contacting the support, I received the answer that it is long after the warranty and that I have to upload the software myself from the lenovo website they provided (they are not even interested in the fact whether it is a software or physical defect, etc.)

    - no volume down in emergency mode (Vol -)
    - when switching to recovery, you cannot move to the factory settings restore position
    - Lenovo Smart Assistant, cannot find tablet
    - messages appear when restarting or emergency mode is activated immediately.

I am asking for help in installing the original software, thank you very much in advance for any help in resolving this fault.

Excavation but topic not closed and I had the same problem and came across this thread in a long search for a solution. I suspected a faulty switch but it turned out to be fine. A similar reaction was with the tape completely disconnected. It helped to desolder the R424 resistor connected to vol-. It is located next to the plug-in volume connector, holding the board horizontally in front of you, the connector on the right, to the right of the connector there are 6 (I think) vertical LEDs and 4 R0 resistors below them. You need to desolder the fourth counting from the top. If there was a problem with vol+ then desolder the other one. Of course, after hatching, the button starts working normally again, it is not blocked and the tablet starts normally. It worked for me, I found it on some foreign language forum, there also a few people used it. For posterity....
I've added a photo for your convenience:

Buddy Mibart74 you deserve a big positive for this solution. I used it with my Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 1050L tablet and the tablet was 100% repaired, it no longer logs into safe mode and the problem with Vol- not working has also disappeared. Great positive. Thank you
