I am going to buy one but I do not know how it works when it comes to action.
Once I read somewhere, but I think it was about the Xperia XA that the touch does not work in the upper part and on the sides.
I do not know how it is in this model.

    greetings

Lime screen at a minimum of 2K times for flagships.
Helio slingshot is efficient on the plus side, but Oreo you can't wait.

Sony is efficiently updating its phones.

You did not convince me in the times of the Z-etek flagship, the updates came out terribly blocky, I would like to leave the Sony Z3 on lolip. M-ki is now forget about updates altogether.
But, maybe it's different now ?

Hmmm, I think there will be a difference to switch from T3 to XA1 :-)

I have the XA1 and it worked perfectly and even perfectly fine until it upgraded from 7.1 to 8.0. Now it works as it wants - in fact, the touch action on the edges of the screen (letter p, delete, enter or drop-down menu, letter q on the left) is really crazy, sometimes you have to wave multiple times while dragging the screen to unlock it. To sum up my adventure with XA1 - leave clean Nougat 7.1 and block the update to Oreo until Sony releases a fix, because I experienced the fact that the touch support is impaired in a few minutes after updating to 8.0.

Well, I also did the update to 8.0
I noticed that there are problems with unlocking the finger, you have to tire a bit, but after 3-4 times it goes normally.
Another problem is that the touch is stuttering on the right side.
Did the whole problem appear after the update? I don't know, how are you? Because if this is the case even on older versions, thank you for such a phone.

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the Sony Xperia XA1, particularly focusing on touchscreen issues following an update from Android Nougat 7.1 to Oreo 8.0. Users report significant problems with touch responsiveness, especially at the edges of the screen, making it difficult to perform actions like unlocking the device or using certain keys. One user suggests reverting to Nougat 7.1 and blocking future updates until a fix is released, as the issues seem to have arisen post-update. Another user confirms similar problems with touch sensitivity, indicating that the issues may be widespread among XA1 users after the software upgrade.
