    Hello,

I have Versa 15 control panels and a GPRS-A module.
I would like to use this module to be notified of possible alarms and be able to remotely control it.

I am asking for help in correct connection and configuration of the module and the control panel.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

you connect ring and tip (you have it on the control panel board in the module), or you program the outputs in vice and the inputs in GPRS :) Do not forget to connect the ac control, it is useful when the electricity is no longer available (then scratching the contents of the refrigerator to someone for storage). You have everything in the manual (attached in paper to both the control panel and the module).

To help does not mean to do everything for you ...
Write what you have done in the topic so far and what is your problem?

    Best regards.

China does not understand this. What for, what and why ?? What did the "artist" mean ?? What function is this supposed to have? Entry with entry or exit of the control panel ??

    I deleted the unnecessary statements.
However, please bear in mind two things:
Yes, help is provided on the forum, but people who are trying to give something of themselves and not waiting for a ready. See section rules: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3077742.html
We try to be respectful to our interlocutors, even when we may not fully agree with them.
I leave the topic, but I expect my colleague to describe once again all the connections made, the settings on the side of both devices, what functionality he wants to get, and of course he will remain calm ;)
    best regards

Sorry for the confusion ... One more time then. Versa OUT3 output set as "burglar alarm" and connected to Input I1 of GPS module.
Versa Z4 input set as NO and as "system arm / disarm" and was connected to the O1 output of GSM module.

    Is this connection properly made?

In the event of a violation of the inputs and triggering an alarm, I would like to receive, for example, an SMS from the module about such an event. Additionally, I would like to be able to arm / disarm the alarm via SMS or GX control.

Thanks in advance for the info.
    best regards

    Hello,

You had to write what you want to get the functionality of the module in combination with Versa ...
You do not need to connect the control panel outputs to the module inputs.
Did you read and understand the control panel and module instructions?

    Best regards.

As I wrote: the functionality is to be obtained in such a way that when the inputs are violated and the alarm / siren is triggered, the information is sent to the module which will immediately notify me about it. I will be able to disarm this alarm remotely.

Regarding the second question: this is how I read this manual of both the module and the control panel.

Thank you in advance for possible clarification if something is wrong.

    @sharp thanks for the hints
I think so now and do not insist on my solution. The module can be treated as a monitoring converter but it is important that I can remotely control the alarm. If possible, approx.

I am an amateur in this topic. I set an alarm a few years ago and it works without any problems to this day. Now I have bought the module because of this remote control ... and as you can see the stairs have started, so please be understanding if you think that I am writing stupidity

Added after 4 [hours] 1 [minutes]:

With this connection, as I mentioned earlier, I can only arm the alarm via CLIP or SMS. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way, i.e. I can't turn it off.

Will you suggest how to improve it?

    Thanks in advance

Has your friend already dealt with the problem?

Probably a colleague controls one module output in a bistable way, i.e. he has two text messages: on and off. But...
On / off input in the VERSA control panel, it works only in a monostable manner, so only one control SMS should be configured, which should be entered in the position: "Turn on output 1 for time". A colleague has probably set SMSs in the following columns: Enable output 1 and Disable output 1.
    It won't work like that.

I dealt with the topic myself ... Unfortunately, no one here on the forum was kind enough to help me. I don't know if it's out of ignorance or reluctance, but it's not that important anymore.
Now everything works as I wanted. I will just add that there are several control SMSes and there are also several answers from the control panel.

We apologize to my colleague for not encouraging enough self-diagnosis. In the end, it ended well, because my friend handled it on his own. And this is a plus for my friend, because at least the subject seems understandable.

Of course, such a configuration is possible. Nobody denied it here. The point is that a colleague during the discussion presented a variant with control from one text message and it did not work, so there was advice in this matter.
Let's just hope that the system has been properly configured (just receiving SMSs and controlling the standby from the phone does not mean that this system cannot be bypassed with a stick).

I was interested in the problem because I bought GPRS-A for Versa 10, and I have a similar problem and in my opinion it is not a matter of laziness because I also read both instructions and I am also an amateur. On the other hand, the level of the experts' responses irritated me, I feel sorry for the founder of the topic because I know what it is like, because I had similar problems recently, in addition, I couldn't call Satellite because it was Saturday and I returned with the 200 km module back. Leaving aside,

I will be glad to know what the above comment means, because maybe I can also get around the Satellite alarm system with a "stick", which for obvious reasons I would prefer to avoid, I will add that I programmed the control panel after reading the manual.

I do not know what my colleague was irritated by, because many people gave specific advice on this thread. Anyone can install alarms, be it beginners, installers with considerable experience, etc. However, you should keep in mind that these installations are dedicated to "qualified" people - however this concept is understood by us. I understand that these installations are often installed by people who are not involved in the topic. However, that doesn't mean it's the right approach. These are systems designed to provide a sense of security, and people who are unfamiliar with these installations may perform them contrary to art - and as a consequence the system may not meet their expectations.
    How to prevent it?
I have the impression that it is impossible to write a "recipe" for a well-made installation. But there are certainly many factors at play (including the basics of electrics, electronics, knowledge of the functioning of individual alarm elements, etc.).
The manual does not describe how to program the control panels, but only deals with issues related to individual options. It is now up to the installer to choose which functions of the control panel to choose based on the threat analysis etc.
As for the stick - it's a metaphor. The point is that many people who install alarms (but without knowing them) often consider the final moment when "motion in front of the detector turns on the howler". But this is only the first step. Important are also matters such as password policy, the legitimacy of using keyfobs and the resulting risks, proper programming of the GSM notification (informing, among others, about the loss of the primary power supply), appropriate connection and programming of the tamper circuits, reduction of the number of delayed inputs to the necessary minimum installation and selection of detectors and much more.
I am not saying that you cannot install the alarm yourself well - it is possible. However, when deciding to take such a step, you should carefully understand the topic - if the system is to be decent.

What's the trouble? What won't work? I think it is worth setting up a separate thread.

And I understand the irritation of my colleague @adamekzzz
He reaches for the last resort, finds an interesting topic on the forum and what? He does not find an understandable and specific answer for him.
The only question is whether he directs his attention in the right direction. As colleague Darek wrote, an attempt was made to help, because the author got a second chance, although if he adhered to the regulations, the topic should have ended up in the basket long ago.
In my opinion, there was simply no description of the solution.
The author of the topic found the time and willingness to express his regrets, but he did not think about writing how he dealt with this topic. After all, not for us, not for colleagues @sharp or @ dariusz.bembenek who do not need such advice, but just for such users as a friend (adamekzzz) and many others who may not fully understand what NO is, NC COM, monostable, bistable, what role do inputs and outputs play, etc. For those who need to write everything from scratch, which may not always be obvious to specialists,
The forum does not have to (should) be a place where only specialists give advice. As a moderator, I am most happy when those who recently came here for help, start to provide it themselves ... In my opinion, this is the forum, in my opinion, this is its idea.

The second time around, I don't think you should get a single answer. I understand that you coped with it, but this is probably why you asked on the forum how to connect, so that in the future, someone reading your thread could read the topic and connect it at home. Unfortunately, like a kid from kindergarten, you took offense at everyone and did not deign to state how you connected it. Oki. It's hanging for me, but I will write down your nickname in order to ignore your thread in the future and not even help with a word.
