    Hello,
    My TV received 37 digital channels, including several coded ones. He received such programs as National Geografic, Polsat Sport Extra, TVP sport, Kino Polska in total 28 uncoded and 9 coded. Why didn't he answer any of the three multiplexes (MUX 1, 2, 3) Is it the dvb-t decoder on the TV (Philips 43PUS6501) or the antennas (block antenna)?

    Please help
    greetings

    Would you like to choose DVB-C (CABLE) as the source before installation?
    To receive DVB-T, you must select "ANTENNA" as the source. Of course, provided that the signal is delivered to your subscriber's socket.
    User manual -> p. 15 -> 5.2 (Terrestrial / cable installation)

    From what you describe, this "block antenna" is, however, some kind of cable and not a direct signal from the antenna. Maybe contact with the administrator of the building would explain a bit? At one time in Poniatowa, the cable network was quite ambitious, I do not know how it is now, because I have not been for a long time. In many cities, administrations connect collective antennas in buildings to get rid of problems with antenna installations.

    Probably this is new construction where the collective installation is already obligatory (DVB-T + SAT), because "old AZART" would rather not have such a wealth of programs. This TV has a built-in tuner: DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-T, DVB-T2, DVB-C.

    Probably, but the legislator did not specify whether the antenna system should have an "bare" antenna signal or whether it could be in DVB-C technology uncoded for common terrestrial MUXs. Of course, with channel change - digital retransmission. There should be digitally available channels plus at least two satellite positions.

    Recently, I was on the window sill of a friend from a friend's company and in a new block in Warsaw, he has all the programs broadcast terrestrial. Converted to DVB-C in FTA. What's more, he has Hotbird and Astre 19E on two independent cables (very wise!), But he is instead of Astra 19E it is possible to connect Eutelsat 5 with 5W or Astra 4 with 4.8E. I did not ask for details (too much beer), but they have some layout with some cable. For this there is FTTH.

    It's very interesting .... and "rich". As a rule, the investor is economical and does not make effort, ordering the design and implementation of a telecommunications installation at a minimum from the Regulation (2 + 2 + 2), i.e. in the R / TV / SAT part one coaxial cable - one with terrestrial signal + satellite sky from two satellites , and the other empty for any cable TV. Which does not preclude an increase in the number of cables. However, this involves costs in the form of a larger amount of cable and a number of distribution devices. This significantly increases investment costs and this developers avoid like fire. They can not raise prices per meter because it comes out and looks funny, but as a whole is a significant difference.
    However, there are those who think differently. I have already carried out projects many times, anticipating connecting three or four wires from independent muliswitch outputs to the telecommunication housing box + one "free" one.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user's issue with their Philips 43PUS6501 TV, which is receiving 37 digital channels, including 28 uncoded and 9 coded, but not detecting any of the three multiplexes (MUX 1, 2, 3). Responses suggest checking the TV's source settings to ensure it is set to "ANTENNA" for DVB-T reception. There is speculation that the "block antenna" may be a cable system rather than a direct antenna signal, and contacting the building administrator for clarification on the installation may be beneficial. The conversation also touches on the implications of collective antenna systems in new constructions and the potential for receiving terrestrial signals converted to DVB-C.
