    Hello
On the forum I met with topics when a laptop was connected to TV via HDMI and they had no sound on the TV because, for example, they did not detect the TV in audio devices. My problem is a bit different from this, namely that my laptop plays sound on TV only if I connect it to the TV before I start the laptop, i.e. shortly if I want to have sound on TV, I have to connect the laptop to TV on the turned off laptop and after starting the sound on TV is there. If I change the image to duplicate or only play it on TV, the sound from the TV disappears immediately and the laptop uses speakers that have a built-in A in the audio settings no longer detects TV whether it is disabled devices or another option. I will add that the laptop is formatted and the old drivers were the same as after installing the new ones.

    And he is guilty.

Unfortunately no, my friend lent me a laptop and it detects the TV right away without any problems. Same cable.

Probably a problem in the image parameter settings on HDMI in the receiver. I do not know the receiver, but I expect many types of images and you have to set it to what the computer produces (e.g. 1060 i).

I read the receiver's manual and found nothing like it. I was based on the case when in comlet the UPC decoder and the Sharp receiver, users somehow changed the setting in the receiver to something other than 1080 and the search for the problem took two days.
But our internet has a few threads of the computer problem, so look there. Personally, I have a PC connected to TV via DVI, but I don't use sound.

Could you tell me how to do it? I can't see anything like that in the TV settings, unfortunately, and on the lap I have no idea where to look for it: /

Reinstalling the system and winning the drivers again but now many older versions have helped.

If there is a loss of sound on the TV after plugging in a laptop and while watching, there is another reason. At least it was like that for me, and only after a few times did I get it.
Well, I sometimes forgot to connect my laptop to the power supply before connecting to the TV and only when watching the low battery message popping up I clicked the button on the power strip and it made a sound. So there is probably some voltage surge that the equipment does not like and everything breaks down. Currently, I first connect the laptop to the power supply, then to the HDMI cable, turn on the laptop and then switch to the TV image from the laptop. The problems with losing sound and reloading the drivers are over.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an audio issue experienced when connecting an HP Envy 15-j100ni laptop to a Manta LED 4004 TV via HDMI. The user reports that sound only plays through the TV if the laptop is connected before it is powered on. If the connection is made after booting or if the display mode is changed, the TV is not detected as an audio output device, reverting sound to the laptop's internal speakers. Suggestions include checking HDMI image parameter settings on the TV, reinstalling drivers, and ensuring the laptop is connected to a power supply before connecting to the TV to avoid potential voltage issues that may disrupt audio output.
