    Hello, dear group.

I have a question. Is it possible to connect three 4K decoders from NC + to a Unicable II converter such as this http://allegro.pl/konwerter-lnb-inverto-unicable-ii-32-dcss-nc-cp-i7262581171.html using the splitter http: / /allegro.pl/rozgaleznik-1-4-televes-splitter-rtv-sat-unicable-i7133661600.html so that everything works without a problem? There may also be one or two ordinary HD "soap dish" 2851 decoders. From what I know, ITI-2851 ADB decoders support Unicable, and WiFiBoxy + from NC + does not. Are there any other conditions that my installation must meet?

Everything will work as long as each decoder supports Unicable, then one cable is enough, if there are decoders that do not support Unicable in the system, a cable from the converter must be routed for each of them, and this must have the appropriate number of outputs.

The LNB that my colleague Darek gave is Unicable I (i.e. I support 4 to 8 carriers, where one Ultrabox is said to take from 4 to 8 channels, and in my case there are three Ultraboxes, i.e. in theory 24 channels will be occupied)

The question is if anyone has been through it. Of course, 4K ultraboxes support Unicable I and II. Is it necessary to program the converter to work with three Ultraboxes?

In theory, it should work because you have your own settings in the decoders. You just need to know the frequencies of the converter. You will probably be first, so be sure to beat the trail.

You can connect four Ultrabox decoders to one dCSS converter, but they will only work to a limited extent as you can only assign two frequencies to each.
As I wrote in another thread. Ultrabox + supports only 8 Unicable and EN50494 frequencies.
In such an installation, it is not possible to connect any other decoder, eg MR. This is due to the fact that MR decoders, if they already support Unicable, also only Unicable I (SCR) within 8 UB.
With this number of decoders, you install a Quatro or Wideband converter and also cascade dCSS multiswitches, eg Johansson or Terra.
To fully use the capabilities of Ultrabox + set-top boxes, you need to provide access to a minimum of 4 UB, and the optimal is 8 UB, so you have to take into account that you need one multiswitch for one Ultrabox + at 8 UB or one for two Ultrabox but limited to 4 UB.
The Unicable support in Ultrabox + has been poorly thought out for "demanding" hardware.
Installing Unicable using the full capabilities of Ultrabox + on several such set-top boxes is quite expensive, but future-proof.

In this video you can see that you can edit the channels, i.e. you can enter other 8 frequencies in the Unicable configuration for each decoder separately. Ultrabox reportedly supports Unicable I and Unicable II. I contacted an installer working for NC + and got the information that 99.9% would work.

See this NC + representative speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C80_VUE42y8
If you have a basic understanding of Unicable technology, you'll notice that the topic is clear.
Anyway, the best test can be performed by entering into the Ultrabox 8 UB from the range supported by Unicable II dCSS EN50607 and checking the test result.
When using predefined profiles for multiswitches and converters in the single-cable configuration menu, the decoder always uses the first 8 or for a given device.
Since installers are the authority for you, and not engineers who program set-top boxes, I will not do anything about it.

After the last update (0x21), Ultarbox got full SCR functionality.

The software update also introduces a significant change for owners of single-cable installations based on the new Unicable II / dCSS technologies (EN 50607). Until now, the configuration was limited to the first eight User Band channels. After the update, you can define the full range of up to 32 UB channels , which will facilitate installations of this type, will allow you to connect Multiroom set-top boxes also using single-cable technology, without the need to limit the capabilities of 4K UltraBOX + and will allow you to conveniently add this model to installations with other devices without changing the configuration.
Having an appropriate converter or multiswitch, start the single-cable installation in the decoder by going to the menu Settings to the category Antenna and we point there "Full configuration - single cable mode (Unicable)" . In the middle of either we choose one of the ready-made predefined converter models or, through our own settings, we indicate which UB channels are to be active and with what frequencies (you can edit them) . In this way, 4K UltraBOX + gains complete configurability for single-cable installations, which it has so far lacked. By the way, in the presets, several new models of brand devices were added, among others Opticum, Televes and TechniSat.

So we can say that only now (i.e. after the update) Ultrabox supports dCSS (and previously only SCR).
So netTv was right, not the sellers .......

I stayed with the current installation with the octo converter. One Ultrabox connected to one cable, the other to two, and instead of the third there will be a CAM module for the TV.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the compatibility of connecting three 4K NC+ Ultrabox decoders to a Unicable II converter and splitter. Users confirm that if all decoders support Unicable, a single cable suffices; otherwise, each non-Unicable decoder requires its own cable. The LNB mentioned is Unicable I, which supports 4 to 8 carriers, potentially limiting the number of channels available for three Ultraboxes. It is noted that Ultraboxes support both Unicable I and II, and proper configuration of the converter is essential for optimal performance. Some users suggest that after a recent update, Ultraboxes gained full SCR functionality, enhancing their compatibility with dCSS. The installation of a Quattro or Wideband converter is recommended for maximizing the capabilities of the Ultraboxes.
