I have a pen drive from SanDisk and the model is called Cruzer Blade 32GB. I've tried a lot of programs but nothing helped. It started so that I wanted to speed up the pendriva and defragmented it and from now there is a message that the disk is write-protected. All folders on it are read-only and it cannot be changed because an error pops up. VID = 781, PID = 5567

@ jan345 It's just that your link is a broken pen.
@Dynako Please screenshot ChipGenius and the effect of diskpart.

As I type the clean command in cmd, something like this pops up:
[DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be completed because of an I / O device error.
See the System Event Log for more information.]

Unfortunately, ChipGenius cannot detect the controller or the memory. Try "powerfull detection" as they advise or use other software for this.
Ultimately, you will need to get physically into the hands, to know what "Russian" firmware from flashboot.ru to use for resuscitation.

Maybe the defragmentation has not been completed for some reason and needs to be repeated, same program . During defragmentation, the disk's condition is such that other programs cannot read it properly and the attempt to write it will break so that its file system cannot be repaired, at most formatted - therefore a well-done defragmentation program should, if possible, at the beginning, block the recording until it is completed. Consequently, if the defragmentation has not finished, the disk is read-only, and not reliable.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 32GB USB flash drive that has become write-protected after an attempted defragmentation. Users suggest various troubleshooting methods, including using software like ChipGenius and DiskPart to diagnose and potentially fix the issue. Some users report I/O device errors when attempting to clean the drive, while others recommend checking the drive's writable status and considering warranty options if the device is still under the manufacturer's coverage. There are also suggestions to repeat the defragmentation process, as incomplete operations may lead to the drive being read-only.
