Hello. I have a rather annoying problem for me.
I recently bought new headphones with a built-in microphone. However, in order for them to work on a laptop, I had to install the Conexant SmartAudio HD audio driver. Everything works fine at first, but when you turn your computer on again, the sound suddenly disappears. Nothing related to sound (eg Winamp) won't work. Additionally, as soon as I uninstall the driver, this sound comes back. This, however, is too inconvenient as with the basic drivers the laptop cannot see my headphones.
I read somewhere that Conexant is not compatible with, for example, a graphics card downloaded not from Lenovo. When I decided to reinstall the card, the monitor got a sudden epilepsy - it started flashing constantly. Only turning off the controller helped to tame the screen. Surprisingly, however, the sound worked well during this fault. However, when I installed the graphics card driver from the Radeon side, the screen was working properly, but there was no sound.
I have no idea what's going on. I look for similar cases everywhere, but so far I have not found any good advice. Please help.
System on laptop: Windows 7 64x
Graphic Card: AMD Radeon HD 8600 / 8700M, Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000
Sound card: Audio for Intel (R) displays, Conexant SmartAudio HD
