    Welcome gentlemen
I wanted to know your opinion about the strange behavior of the car.
Renault Trafic, 2005, 2000cm / pc. (after overnight heavy rains) and after a quiet morning ride of about 70 km, the red charge + stop indicator lights up. I would understand that no alternator charging but !
At the beginning, the indicator light was only below 2 thousand revolutions.
After adding gas, it went out as if charging was returning. It happened on the road. With no choice, I decided to come back with a soul on my shoulder. After driving the next 10 km I entered the town, lights, (start-stop / slow down, accelerate), etc. The indicator light was on permanently. It began to glow even at a higher speed. I pulled down to the parking lot in town. I opened the mask to view the interior, check the strap. Everything looked normal. I stood there for 5 minutes. I started the car. The previous symptom returned. Loading is but only at higher speed. After approx. 20 km, the same thing returned again (the lamp is lit that there is no charging at any speed range). On the rest of the current I came to some Tesco. I bought a new (any) battery. Fortunately, there was any because on the car battery I would not start the engine, I sat down!
I connected a new one (from Tesco) to the one in the car. I started the car. Wondering what to do next, I did an experiment.
On a walking engine, p additional battery disconnected symptom is that.
The charging lamp goes out at high speed. when I drop the pedal below 2 thousand / min. the lights are on.
Now, holding on to higher gears I disconnect the extra battery . The lamps light up again. Interestingly. After reconnecting the new (additional) battery together with the old lights go out, go out at high speed. On the lower ones they shine. By adding gas they go out.
I got home while holding the car at revs, with a second battery attached, under the passenger's feet.
Fortunately, at Renault Trafic, someone wisely placed the battery in the cab, under the driver's feet. An additional one connected with thick cables stood on the doormat next to it.

Please, suggestions, opinions, answers what may be damaged, worn.
    Where to look
Could it just be a symptom of an ending alternator?
Why the lights began to light up on the old "aku." first only at lower speed, then also at higher? Why did the lights go out for a while after switching the car off and then back on (after 5 minutes)?

    PS
Along with the controls no charging and stop, previously the indicator light would come on sometimes ABS + SERVIS ?

    greetings

The alternator brushes are running out + if it is a Valeo 120a alternator, the AR3002 alternator rotor should also be replaced, because this is a factory defect that some do not know about.

    Hello
During the engine's operation, the meter measured the voltage on the battery clamps. The voltage during engine operation drops, it is about: 11.5V, then about: 10.9V (also after adding gas) After adding gas, the voltage drops.
So what does it indicate the alternator?

    Auxiliary question.
Approx. 2 weeks ago the power steering pump was replaced (in service).
The pump fell apart during maneuvering (no power assistance) and the fluid flowed down to the ground. The car was transported to the service. The pump was replaced there and the power steering fluid was topped up.
Could this fluid flowing out have an effect on the alternator? Could it have been avoided?

It could have had an impact, but without dismantling and diagnosing the alternator you can't do it.

    Hello
In that case (by the way) I will ask.
Do you know any honest workshop in the town of Łomianki or nearby (W-wy) doing such repairs?

    greetings

He is on Arkuszowa Street, but I don't know how honest he is :) He was involved in various matters, but it was "after acquaintance" ... Not mine, that there would be no understatement ...

It's not far from Lomianki, you can come and ask ... It was almost always difficult to park there in the yard.

Can you know how the case ended?

    Hello
    Of course.
As a colleague at the top wrote, the reason was a worn or faulty alternator: Valeo 120a. Bearing in mind my colleagues above about the possible disadvantage of this series of alternators, I've already bought a better (unfortunately much more expensive) BOSCH alternator, probably 150A. After exchange, he took it away.

    PS
Although I was always not well connected to cars (unpleasant experience from years ago with the French) Renault model Trafic slowly restores my faith in cars on "F": This is probably a sensation among French wonders. Trafic is not really bad. Simple construction, available, cheap. I have (I had other from this year), m / in WV Transporter "T" and I must honestly admit that Renault Trafic stands out as a plus: reliability, quality of sheet metal, outclasses other buses. Does not rot, not too fussy, I hope that it will keep going ...
An example of placing the battery in the cabin is a great idea for the designers of this car (bus-a) Renault Trafic. In the case of "W", electrical safety is maintained.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2005 Renault Trafic experiencing intermittent issues with the red charge + stop indicator light. The user reports that the light activates after driving, particularly at lower RPMs, and the voltage at the battery drops significantly during engine operation. Responses suggest that the problem may stem from a faulty alternator, specifically a Valeo 120A model, which is known for defects. The user also inquires about the potential impact of a recently replaced power steering pump on the alternator's performance. Ultimately, the user resolves the issue by replacing the faulty alternator with a more reliable Bosch 150A unit, expressing newfound appreciation for the Renault Trafic's overall reliability and design.
