Hello, I have a problem with the engine in the Audi A4 B8 - 1.8 TFSI 120km, the synchronization error pops up and the engine runs unevenly. The timing has been changed and the timing has been set and at the end the variable valve timing shaft with the variator and the engine still does not work as it should, it runs loud, uneven and burns heavily.
I have a question whether the mechanic, when he replaced the entire shaft, should supplement the shaft with oil or somehow prepare it for work with the engine or there is no such need and it could be installed clean and dry straight from the store to the engine and he should refill himself with oil there and it goes like this you need
As colleagues, do you have any ideas why the engine does not work as it should, thanks in advance for the advice.

Hello. You can install the shaft without refilling the oil, because you don't do it. The problem is that the variable valve timing wheel straight from the store is not filled with oil and has play. It looks like the mechanic has set the wheel to maximum acceleration and after refilling the oil, it accelerates it even more more. Timing to be corrected.

Thanks for the info - I will inform the mechanic about this option, if something will work and I will let you know something.
