    Good morning,

Thank you very much for joining the group. I immediately point out that I am not a specialist in home networks as you will see soon ...

I would like to ask you for help in resolving the following issue. I have distributed and connected cabling to the Ethernet sockets in the apartment (2 sockets in each room) and I have a UPC TV and internet provider who provided me with:
    1. Room 1: mediabox (only TV signal) and Connect Box (Internet + WiFi) 120Mbps
    2. Room 2: Horizon - only TV signal

I would like to connect cables to have internet in every outlet and be able to connect Smart TV and WD My Cloud from room 2 (at the moment the TV is connected to the WiFi network but I would like to have it in a cable and additionally use WD My Cloud from anywhere). I also have an old D-Link 615 router at home, which I could possibly use or buy something that is necessary ...
I read a little and what I understand is as follows:

    1. I should "transfer" the interenet from UPC Connect Box to the box in the hall - for this I connected the Ethernet cable to socket no. 1
    2. install router or switch in the box and connecting the interent from socket 1 to the socket of my router / switch to the Ethernet or LAN input?
    3. Can I use my router - is it suitable?
    4. WiFi can stay from the original source because the range is everywhere approx

Please find attached the freehand drawing of what it looks like (my network connections are blue Connecting the UPC Connect Box and distributing the network to the sockets in th ) - can someone advise how to connect it, what to buy and how to configure?

    Thank you for your help!

Why connect 2 cables to a switch from a connect box? Just buy a switch with the expected number of sockets, preferably gigabit.

Thanks for the answer. I understand that I put the switch in the box in the hall and connect to the switch ibternet flipped from room 1 and then from the switch connect to all the inputs in the box.

Or maybe someone recommend a switch so that it has 10 outputs, which means that I can distribute the signal to all sockets in the apartment.

    Thank you!

If you are going to play movies, e.g. from a network drive on TV, you could use a gigabit switch.
The cheapest I've found is (larger than 8 ports and smaller than 16 are missing)
    Switch D-Link GO-SW-16G 16x RJ-45 10/100/1000
    https://allegro.pl/switch-d-link-go-sw-16g-16x-rj-45-10-100-1000-i7295292257.html#thumb/1

Alternatively, if you want to connect what you have, you only need 8 ports
    for example.
    Switch TP-Link TL-SG1008D 8x10 / 100 / 1000M
    https://allegro.pl/switch-tp-link-tl-sg1008d-8x10-100-1000m-i7477514532.html

You plug the cable from this connectbox into port 1 on the switch and the rest of the sockets into the other ports and that's it.
