Hello, I have a computer, DELL Optiplex 780. And I changed the VGA cable to a 10 meter long one. The computer started up several times due to the update, on Windows 10. And I just have a blurry screen, meaning the resolution is set well, i.e. 1680x1050 on the monitor and this is set on the computer and I just have a blurry screen. Restarting does not do anything and turning the computer off and on again, changing the cable gives a normal screen, but the computer is standing high on the closet because of my dog, who when he stays at home, chews on the cables, etc. I don't know what to do, please help.

What does a blurry picture have to do with News?
Check if the resolution is supported by the monitor, the second issue is poor quality cable - and it's his fault.

Hello. What is this 10m cable? This is way too long for the big signal losses. Buy a doggy bone to chew on. And the cables should be secured against chewing or hung in such a place that they do not lie on the ground.

In the screen settings, you have something like Scale and Layout, bury in these settings.

If something doesn't suit you, just ignore it or skip it ;) You don't have to write anything here, nobody asks you.

The 10m Vga full hd cable receives good reception, but sometimes after restarting the image is blurry and I do not know what the quality is changed, it is well set, i.e. 1600x1200p, this is how the monitor is used, And as for the dog, the dog bites everything or I give him a bone, I go to work because I live in a block of flats I don't think I will leave it on the street and it will chew through all the cables etc.

I do not know how to give it more precisely because when I enter the scale, I look for: Set everything bigger and there about filters, and when I enter the layout: Automatically arrange windows by dragging them to the edges or corners just that and I don't know what to do.

Hello, I wrote earlier, but this is how I have a desktop computer, I had a disk with Windows 7 on it. I changed the disk to a smaller one, on which Windows 10 was installed. I changed the cable to 10 meters VGA and connected it to the monitor. Until now, the resolution was well set and was normal, i.e. visible well, etc. When the computer installed Windows 10 updates and started several times, the resolution was already blurry I looked at Screen settings, it is well set, i.e. 1600x1200p and I have a LG FLATRON W2234S monitor
when I press the button on the AUTO / SET monitor, the following message is displayed: "PROCESSING AUTO IMAGE ADJUSTMENT FOR OPTIMAL DISPLAY CHANGE AESOLUTION TO 1680x1050", so I guess I get a message saying that the resolution is wrong or what? of course, I go to the settings, and Resolution and there is only the 1600x1200 option and I do not know what to do, the image is a bit blurry and it does not suit me what to do for help.

The monitor requires a resolution of 1680x1050, which it displayed to you (the manufacturer also wrote so). The system set you to 1600x1200 which is a bad setting.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to uninstall update, would you like to do it?

So how well is it positioned?

The monitor shows information that the resolution is probably wrongly set, it tells me to set 1680x1050, the comouter has installed the updates and from now on, this resolution is what should I do?

Sory the resolution is incorrectly set to 1600x1200p and the monitor shows to set 1680x1050p and there is no such option to select the system was installing quality updates what should I uninstall

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Dell Optiplex 780 experiencing a blurry screen resolution of 1680x1050 after a VGA cable change to a 10-meter long cable. Users suggest that the cable length may cause signal loss, leading to the blurry display. Recommendations include checking monitor settings for "Scale and Layout," ensuring the resolution is supported, and securing cables to prevent damage from pets. The author notes that the monitor, an LG FLATRON W2234S, prompts for a resolution adjustment, indicating a mismatch with the current settings. The author seeks assistance in uninstalling Windows 10 updates that may have caused the issue, as the system defaults to 1600x1200 resolution instead of the required 1680x1050.
