Hello. The battery is dead, I replaced it, the LED is on, but neither the entrance gate nor the garage gate works. Is there any programming required after replacing the battery?

Did you accidentally put the batteries in backwards? Does the LED on the remote control light up when you press the button?

It`s on, I tried the other way around, it doesn`t light up, so the battery is inserted correctly, but no gate works...

Is this your only remote control? If not, does another one work properly?

How can you be sure that the old battery is dead?
Maybe the remote control stopped working and you thought it was the battery`s fault? Has the remote control lost its range before replacing the battery? Did it work before replacement and did you change it as a preventive measure or for some reason?
Is the new battery A23 from VARTA?

Hello, I would like to reheat an old cutlet and ask for advice.
I have Came V900E in the first version (it is different from v2, so I assume it is v1). Additionally, the AF43SP code card.

    This is the situation:
    1. The remote control was getting weaker and weaker due to a weak battery (I measured 9.51V), and finally it stopped working.
    2. I replaced the battery with a new A23 Energizer one, a few days after the remote control permanently died.
    3. No response from the remote control, the diode glows beautifully.
    4. In the meantime, there was a power outage in the area, 49 hours without power. I used the gate manually.

After a power failure, the gate opened to (by eye) 90%, closed completely, and then bounced (finds an obstacle). The remote control still doesn`t work.

    So what did I do:
    0. I set new boundary points - by clicking the button on the board, the gate works according to the instructions. No response from the remote control.
    1. I unplugged everything because why not try...
    2. I tried to re-code the remote control by holding the ENC button on the control unit and remote control - the red diode keeps flashing (slow flashing).
    3. Considering the functionality of the remote control, I cleared all users from the code card (of course, I disconnected them from the power supply, turned them on without the card, then turned them off, connected the code card, turned on the power - I am writing to avoid questions as above about the correctness of inserting the batteries...) .
    4. I created a new user on CH1 - the procedure was successful, as in the manual, so I guess the remote control works.
    5. Another attempt to encode the remote control on the ZL54 board - unsuccessful.

I made 12 attempts in various configurations (turning the power off/on before coding, gate open, closed, on one leg, not breathing, sober and after a glass of wine) and none of them was successful. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: this is my only remote control, there has never been another one.

    Wait wait...
Can you write concisely and specifically whether this remote control worked for you at least once after resetting the radio receiver`s memory?
    1. During the coding procedure, the diode should change its state after receiving the correct signal from the remote control.
    2. Do you code the remote control using buttons on the machine or directly on the frequency card? (AF43SP card has its own buttons for programming the remote control and they are certainly not described as ENC) it may be worth trying directly in the card.
    3. Do not assume that the remote control is working if the machine stops after 20 seconds. programming process (this happens if it does not receive the correct signal from the remote control).

Go to a car key (remote control) duplication point in your city and let them check what the remote control sends (frequency and codes) if at all.

    Hi. Thanks for the answer.
Yesterday I dealt with the problem. The error was in the instructions (three different ones). I will describe it below for posterity, maybe it will be useful to someone.

    CAME SPACE remote control coding

    1. First, I deleted the previous entries from the code card memory by holding the CLR button for a few seconds.
    2. Then I held down the CH1 button on the code card for 2 seconds, the code card LED started flashing
    3. I double-clicked the button on the remote control - two short presses - the diode on the code card lit up permanently
    4. I confirmed by clicking the CLR button on the code card - the LED went off. This is the end of the procedure on the code card.
    5. The last step is to hold down the ENC button on the controller board and at the same time press the button on the remote control coded in steps 1-4. The red diode on the board first flashed, then lit up permanently.

The procedure was completed successfully, the remote control works. None of the available manuals described the procedure in this way. Yesterday, in a burst of inspiration, I coded additional remote controls for my neighbors on channel two (CH2) exactly according to the same procedure. Everything works.

    Good luck!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunctioning remote control for a Came Space gate after a battery replacement. The user initially replaced the dead battery but found that the remote control's LED lights up without operating the gates. Various troubleshooting steps were suggested, including checking battery orientation, confirming the functionality of other remotes, and ensuring the new battery was correctly identified (A23 from VARTA). The user later detailed their experience with a Came V900E remote, noting that after a power outage, the remote stopped responding despite the LED functioning. Ultimately, the solution involved a specific coding procedure for the remote control, which included clearing previous entries from the code card memory and reprogramming the remote, successfully restoring its functionality.
