Hello, we have a 3-year-old son who puts everything in his mouth. For some time now he loves to put all the remote controls in his mouth, even though we forbid him to do so. Unfortunately, yesterday he was so biting the NC + remote and it stopped working. We thought maybe we were aiming the remote control wrongly at the decoder, are there any furniture / toys on the way from the remote to the decoder. However, whenever we pressed the TV button on the remote control (which, by the way, was to enable control of not only the decoder but also the TV, but on any of the TVs it never worked, so the button treated as such to check the remote control more), the red LED next to it was lit . Now, however, nothing is happening. We have a multimeter, we have screwdrivers, we have a soldering iron, and we would start repairs yesterday, but we want to start by asking you on the electrode. We suspect that maybe the batteries suddenly died, but that they would discharge to zero in an instant ??? Where to start the repair - do you have any ideas?

Nothing is easier than replacing them with new ones. :D
If this does not help, then you need to disassemble the remote control, check if it is not wet / damp (possibly cleaned)
Wait with the soldering iron.

Hello. I was dismantling the same remote control a moment ago, remove the batteries and measure with a multimeter, it should be at least 3.15 V. The batteries are connected in parallel so the LED from the TV button lights up even on one battery. Dismantling is done by pressing into the groove between the black and white halves and gently pulling both halves and so around the entire circumference of the pilot. After disassembly, everything can be wiped or washed with alcohol (except for the transparent insert with a conductive layer). You also need to look at solder connections and tracks, preferably through a magnifying glass. After drying and assembling (pay attention to the transparent insert because you can put it on the other way round) it should work. best regards

Okay, I'll do as you say and let me know.

    First you write:

So how can I get 3.15V from two 1.5V batteries in parallel?

In such a remote control there are cr 2032 batteries, 3V each. Once you put it on your feet, you can set the remote control to control the TV, I found the manual on the Internet once, I did not search for long, Google will definitely help.

And do you know what batteries are there? Think before writing.

It is not even known what the pilot is! The modest description with a red LED is also compatible with the Pace PVR remote (the one after the number +, but nc also offered it in the prepaid offer).
@Skipperab woman , give the decoder model or give a photo of the remote control because in a moment you will be sent for some strange batteries for a completely different model ;)

He can first see if any button on the remote control is blocked.
Why is this writing about batteries if you don't know what decoder, remote control?
