Does the Exta Free system (RWS-311J/Z, RNM-10, ANT-01) work without an EFC controller?

- ANT-01
- Some kind of bell button to control

without an EFC controller?, is a controller required for control in this circuit?, is a controller in general mainly for control via mobile devices?.
