A few days ago, I had to repair my computer with symptoms like the WIN 10 system was loading forever after making a backup to another ssd drive, everything seemed to work ok, but something touched me to check the speed test of a faulty disk in HD Tune. It looked okay but the access time those yellow dots instead of being spread more or less in one line were smashed all over the screen. In addition, when the computer was starting, such a sizzle was coming from the vicinity of the processor. In the end, it turned out that after replacing the power supply and the SATA ribbon, which also turned out to be defective, and of course replacing the disk, everything returned to normal. At least that was what I could do about it. I had a Goodram CX 300 120gb SSD

Goodram supposedly makes very bad quality discs - is it true or maybe I made a mistake.

I often order these disks and the seller himself says that practically no one advertises them, but for example, two ADATA disks working in RAID have recently fallen to a friend. Personally, I would bet on INTEL disks, but they are quite expensive in terms of price, so the alternative, at least for me, are Crucial SSDs.

Take the multimeter in your hand and measure all voltages at rest and under load. The standard assumes 5% for each voltage, with the rest you can easily find tables with ATX voltage standards.

There you should still have 3.3V on the orange wire.
Of course, the problem does not have to be on the side of the power supply, if two drives stopped working smoothly in a short time, you are either unlucky and you run into faulty copies or something is wrong.
Check this disc with the program as your colleague pidar writes to you. GOODRAM Optimum SSD Tool
And if you have it, change the SATA ribbon for tests.

Samsung 860 EVO costs PLN 600 with the same capacity

PLN 379 in computronic. and Goodram PLN 239 and intel 480GB PLN 459 and supposedly also TLC. A man would have to do nothing but read SSD tests and then choose but if someone cannot afford it, he chooses the cheapest because he has a 3-year warranty for it anyway. Unfortunately, the only warranty does not cover data recovery, so why overpay, it's best to make regular backups. GOOD RAM is kind of Polish for this cheap, but I have never explored whether it is actually a Polish product ... Anyway, you can always choose Samsung or Intel or a multitude of other companies that will give you guarantees, but only on the disk, not for the already mentioned data loss.

This is not the program I indicated earlier. :|

I will get a new disk next week but I read SMART with many programs and it was OK.
The only question is why only this disk falls and it is right after mounting?

When you get such a disk and re-mount it, give a screenshot from SSD-Z to analyze.

Provide a link if it's not a problem, it will be useful to me in the event of WU.

You give up quickly and practically leave the problem unresolved, now let go and in some time you will start a topic with another damage, remember nothing ever breaks down by itself, there is always some reason. As for the disk, if you do not want to overpay and you are not satisfied with the warranty, look for 2.5 WD Black drives removed from new laptops and sold as new but without a 500GB warranty. A solid black series and priced in the range of PLN 75-100. The new ones with a 5-year warranty are from 250 PLN, so it pays to even have two in the mirror raid. Model WD5000LPLX A and check if the photo shows the real item sold and choose those with the latest production date 2018+. Sometimes there are opportunities and someone sells with a 5-year warranty for PLN 100. You check the guarantees on the manufacturer's website after S / N.

When it comes to games, however, SSD is better, but if you are discouraged, I leave the decision to you.

    Hello!
The SATA ribbon is new, I don't keep the old, torn cables - it's a waste of space.
Anyway, what has 3.3V for 2.5 "drives? After all, this is 5V and serves as USB drives?

You seem to have ignored the information provided earlier by your colleagues.
Line 3.3 may and may not be involved in powering the disks, but it powers the rest of the components.
You should be measuring the line under load, did you do that?
Black or not black, any anomalies should be verified, inter alia, by checking individual components.

The power supply was SilentiumPC - is it a "black list"?

The manufacturer gives a 3-year warranty on the power supply, so you can always take advantage of the warranty.

Your graphics card itself can load from 260W under load, add the rest of the components and it will accumulate a little, so if the current power supply did not cope, it might be better to change to 750W. The fact that the power supply was loud when playing, especially in the heat we had, is normal.

I am quite the opposite. I use 7 of these disks, they work several hours a day and everything is fine with them. SMART monitored on an ongoing basis - without reservations.

Tomorrow the courier will bring me a new SSD, I will mount it and see what and how.

Then check immediately if you do not need to update FW.

And one more thing, when you transfer game images to this SSD, I suggest you defragment them first.

Just don't defragment your SSD. It is not recommended for these drives.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around persistent issues with the Goodram CX 400 SSD, particularly regarding its slow performance and frequent failures. The user reports that after sending the SSD for service at X-KOM, the replacement drive exhibits similar problems, especially during game installations, leading to performance akin to older HDDs. Various responses suggest checking power supply stability, measuring voltages, and using diagnostic tools like SMART readings. The user suspects the SilentiumPC power supply may be inadequate, as symptoms of abnormal power supply indicators on the graphics card were noted. After replacing the power supply, the new SSD functions correctly, resolving the initial issues. The conversation also touches on the reliability of different SSD brands and the importance of regular backups.
