Hello, I know that there were a lot of such topics, but I still can't comprehend what I'm doing wrong ...
I would like to transfer files (Movies, Games) from a Windows 10 laptop to two other Windows 8 and 10 laptops using an Ethernet cable.
Let's start by transferring files from Win10 to Win8. In Windows 10 there is no workgroup / home and in 8 it is already.
So I connect two computers with an Ethernet cable and on the computer with Windows 10 in My Computer> Network something like this appears:
(On Windows 8 it displays similarly, but additionally in Multimedia Devices it also shows "PERSONALIST: personal:")

Transferring files via Ethernet cable and Entering network credentials!
    Computers
    Windows 10 is: LAPTOP-KFUHV8OC
    Windows 8 is: FIG

When in multimedia devices I choose LAPTOP-KFUHV8OC on Windows 8: then I can see all the movies I have on Windows 10 and I can watch them, but I do not know how to save them to disk, I can only play them but I cannot, for example, transfer to the desktop.
    It looks like:

Transferring files via Ethernet cable and Entering network credentials!

However, when I go (on Win8) in the Network and Computer and choose LAPTOP-KFUHV8OC, something like this appears:

Transferring files via Ethernet cable and Entering network credentials!

And now I do not know what username and password it is ... When I log into the system on Windows, I write the username, but I do not have a password, but a PIN and when I enter it, I write that "Username or password is incorrect". The same as on Windows 10, go to My computer> Network> Computer and select "RYSIEK" (I do not know why the computer displays "RYSIEK" and "PERSONALYRTSIEK"), on Windows 10 I also have a username (Name and Last name) and PIN but neither does it work.

Anyone know how to do it to send Movies / Games via Ethernet cable?
ps There is no option to buy another cable, disk or something similar.
I also don't know if the Ethernet cable I'm using is unscrossed or scratched because I don't know how to check it.

Thank you in advance for your help !

The easiest way is to have the same user name and password (not the pin) on both computers. You will not make a mistake what and where to enter.
The straight or cross cable in gigabit cards does not have a complete meaning.
You are currently watching movies via the DLNA protocol. To copy files and folders you need to use the SMB protocol. Once you create new identical (or change the names of existing) users, enter the phrase "windows 10 home file sharing" in google. There will be tons of step-by-step tutorials. You won't have a problem with identical users on both computers.

Ps. when adding new users, make sure that they are local users (in W10 you have to click the fine print several times at the bottom of the screen in the style "without a Microsoft account" and "I do not have this user's login details".
You can also easily create a user account in the command line (as Administrator) with the command "net user Franek MojePaslo / add"

So what? How to change this "Protocol"?

Okay, I turned off streaming and I no longer have the Media devices option. There are only two folders left on both computers in My Computer> Network with the names of both of them.

On Windows 10, when I enter the Windows 8 folder, the following message is displayed:
Transferring files via Ethernet cable and Entering network credentials!

And when I enter the Windows 10 folder on a laptop with Windows 8, the "Movies" folder appears, the one I share, but when I try to enter it, it pops up
Transferring files via Ethernet cable and Entering network credentials!

and then nwm what to do; /

Edit. Okay, I almost got it :)
On a laptop with Windows 8, after entering My Computer> Network> KACPER (Computer with Windows10), a shared folder appears with all the files that I can save nicely. However, when I go to My computer> Network> FIG (Windows 8 computer), the following message appears:
Transferring files via Ethernet cable and Entering network credentials!
I do not know why, because in the Network and Sharing Center> Advanced Sharing Settings I have the "Disable password protected sharing" option selected on both laptops ... If it is disabled, why is the password to enter still displayed?

Edit2. Another problem is that I was still connected via WI-FI ... and files are transferred very slowly; (After disconnecting WI-FI on both computers and entering My Computer> Network, the error that I am not connected to the network is shown. network and internet, the "Ethernet" option appears, but I do not know what to set for it to detect another computer.

The request for login and password is displayed because you have not created identical users with identical passwords on both computers. Now you need to enter the username and password that is in the database on the remote computer.
Lack of rights means that the user (or group) is not added as authorized for remote access (Right mouse on the folder, Advanced sharing, add users and rights) or no NTFS rights (Right mouse on the folder, security, add users and rights) .
After turning off wifi, computers must be wired to the router, otherwise the firewall will automatically set the rules for the public network and you would have to add rules for SMB, NetBios and some other services. You can also turn off the firewall during the attempts (three times - for home, corporate and public networks).

    Hmmm :D I see

It's not much because in these matters I'm green xD But the other computer is not mine and I will not set my username there, I will not set my father's name on mine, I wanted to transfer files to these accounts. It is possible from my computer to my father, but not the other way around; (It's enough for me because I share films with him, but he also has a few on his own, but I have to eat eggs for 1 week, how to do it, I prefer to download them on my own :D

I will try to connect cables to the router etc. but the topic to be closed :P I already have a solution xD
