Hello, does anyone have a quick t12 vs ksger t12 comparison? Are they the same or are any of them better? If so, which one? I also see that there are different versions of the software - which is the best? And which handle is good? Because I read that in one version the tip rotates. I am asking for specific advice because I want to buy such a soldering iron, of course, for alli and I don't know which one to choose.

I join the question, or maybe you have already chosen something?

The one with an OLED (graphic) display is better, but there is no big difference. I prefer the handle (stock) in the 907 style.

I think it's about QUICKO ... there are basically two types of stations, one based on the STM32 microcontroller and the other on the Chinese STC. The former has better stabilization and you can see it especially when the tips are calibrated ...

As for the handles, there is probably no perfect one ... I bought a counterfeit HAKKO FM-2028 (i.e. its parts) and adapted it to the STM32 station and this handle works best for me. Although now there are many new, more expensive and probably better made, but who knows how it works in practice. Ultimately, I would like to give the original of the mentioned Hakko (unfortunately the quality of the material and the element itself made on the injection molding machine in a fake is quite poor) ...

Thanks for responding to my question.
In the meantime, I read a bit and I will actually try KSGER T12 on STM32 v.2.01, I'm just undecided about the handle.
The original HAKKO would probably be the best, but it would be the most expensive of the entire set :)
For starters, I will choose something Chinese. I consider between the black aluminum one (but it's almost PLN 100) and the yellow and blue one that most recommend.
Maybe you have a seller worth recommending for alewolno?

I have not chosen anything yet, so far I have let go of the topic, but from what I read somewhere, it is best to look for a version with soft 2.1s or 2.10s something like this ;)

Some time ago - probably six months ago - I bought 2 KSGER on STM32 version 2.01. Of course, I bought it in China because ours are not selling it yet.
None of these stations worked more than 30 or 40 hours. She was the first to be surprised first. It started to turn off by itself, thrown some errors on the display, and finally stopped heating. When turned on, it resets all the time.
I got the second one last night. First, a large vertical screech appeared on the display so that even reading the temperature was difficult. After a few minutes, the self-resets started, as in the first. So I went back to the old Bakon 950 and this is the best Chinese T12 solution for me. Simple, reliable (I have been using it for 2 years) and it is sold in Poland so there is no problem with the warranty.
And yes, I was tempted by nice cheap boxes and I am PLN 350 in the back. So this is my warning as to the T12 stations they sell on Alli. I do not recommend it.

I have the cheaper one, on STC, and there are no problems with it, apart from the obligatory improvement of the power supply connection. Anyway, it seems that in all of them the connection of the PE conductor needs to be improved, so that the minus of the secondary side of the power supply is connected to it. It is also worth replacing the wires connecting the power supply with the controller with thicker ones and connecting them permanently (throw away the sockets). And these soldering irons absolutely must be connected to sockets with a protective pin.

As for selling by ours, I somehow do not see the need, now the purchase on Aliexpress is so simple and shipping is so fast that you can live with it (Aliexpress Standard Shipping - for me recently from 13 to 21 days).
Not to mention that we buy much cheaper, even if we add customs clearance and VAT 23%.

As for the warranty, it is like with Polish companies, it depends who we buy. But to tell you the truth, in Polish companies I had more drives with complaints (problems with the enforcement of my warranty rights - often you had to go to legal action) than in the case of Chinese who, if "but" send new equipment without too much whining ...

Basically, a friend whom I recommended the station (he bought a DIY kit) got with a mechanically damaged display, but without any problems after reporting, a new PCB was sent ... so after replacing the display, he has two pieces :)

Personally, I have no problems with the station, and she has already worked a bit - and carrying it in a backpack because I took her to the company several times so that she had the opportunity to work a little more.

As for the Bakon 950 I had it for a while and sold it, it's not a bad station. But based on STM32 is better - what I mentioned is better temperature stabilization.
Bakon was ok as there was no other choice in the market with the T12 other than the original Hakko.

This is especially visible when we use large spatula tips or solder fields with large ground planes or large elements. Of course, that still requires calibration for each mountain - not much work and requires a thermometer - but it's worth it.

However, what would not be another entry that packs everyone from Ali into one bag because this is how you can write about Alledrogo where most of the offer is the same goods from Aliexpress + often a very high margin, not always translating into a good guarantee. What I was buying is described here:

    https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3448871-30.html#17215065

Specifically at this seller (KSGER Welding Tool Store) https://pl.aliexpress.com/store/918038 - which I can recommend (as I mentioned to a friend, they replaced the equipment without problems). I spent some money there, but luckily I didn't have to advertise anything.

However, as for the friend - whether he tried to advertise the goods at the seller from China, or just said that he melted the money. Another thing in such cases is to use photos and attach a copy of the correspondence with the store (including specifying the specific store where not to buy). Why, because there are a lot of people who write that Aliexpress is evil for sellers from PL and there are a lot of profits from it, and this is an unfair slander of good sellers from China because even in the case of legal private import (paying VAT etc.) they are much cheaper ...

Another thing, when buying on Ali, you have to be reasonable - the cheapest seller is not always a good choice - e.g. equipment from production of much worse quality.

Topic summary

The discussion centers around a comparison between the Ksger T12 and Quick T12 soldering irons, focusing on their software versions, handle options, and overall performance. Users note that the Quick T12 with an OLED display is preferred for better visibility, while the KSGER T12 is often chosen for its STM32 microcontroller version, which offers superior temperature stabilization. Concerns are raised about the reliability of KSGER units, with reports of frequent malfunctions after limited use. Users recommend considering the original HAKKO handles for quality, although they are more expensive. Alternatives include various Chinese handles, with some users suggesting improvements to power supply connections for better performance. Overall, the consensus leans towards caution when purchasing from AliExpress due to potential quality issues.
