You are probably referring to the ESP32-DevKitC development module: The manufacturer admits to V2 and V4 versions. In fact, version 4 has the CP2102N bridge and version 2 has the CP2102. The significant differences between these bridges in favour of the CP2102N are: the maximum UART speed of up to 3Mbps (instead of 1Mbps) and the ability to put the chip to sleep. . Discouraged. This version is more of a stock sweep.
