Hello, I have a problem with the water draining from the washing machine. The flange of my fi 32 elbow comes out of the wall. I wanted to put a washing machine siphon in it, but it was very loose (replacing the gasket did not help), I put another elbow in it, which surprisingly came in a little tight but still the water drips. And now the question is whether there is a chance to find a tighter gasket, put silicone there or wrap the pipe with something to make it tight. Regards

Are you sure it's 32mm and not 40mm?

Seal with silicone and you'll be fine. There's not much pressure there.

For now, I tightly wrapped the pipe with Teflon to increase the diameter and it holds. I hope it will be ok. If not, I will fight with silicone. Thanks.

Teflon is not suitable for this. It was better to wrap it with electrical tape. And push in.

I wouldn't be so sure about that little pressure. I had it myself that after changing the washing machine, when emptying the water tank, the washing machine generated enough pressure to "spit out" the siphon from the muff in the wall. The gasket in the muff must be matched so that the siphon enters with considerable resistance. I did it in such a way that I found a short section of a pipe in the scraps that fit very tightly to the muff, and only in this pipe did I put the siphon, stretching a piece of bicycle inner tube on its stub, and only then the problem disappeared.

You must have had a clogged pipe somewhere. If until the siphon retreated.

Nothing was packed mate @Resistor240 . The previous washing machine was connected to the same drain using the same siphon. Simply by comparing the pressure generated by the new washing machine and the old one, the difference was colossal. It is worth sealing it properly so that there are no unpleasant surprises later.

I suggest buying an elbow for little money, but it's gray or white from another manufacturer, and check if it will match the gasket better than your white one. Maybe it will help.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a washing machine drainage issue, specifically concerning a loose FI 32 elbow connection. The user initially attempted to replace the gasket but continued to experience leaks. Suggestions included sealing with silicone, using Teflon tape to increase the pipe diameter, and ensuring a tight fit for the siphon. One participant recommended using a different manufacturer's elbow to find a better gasket match. Concerns were raised about the pressure generated by the washing machine, which could dislodge the siphon if not properly sealed. A solution involving a short section of pipe and a bicycle inner tube was also shared to effectively resolve the issue.
