How do I make a Sofarsolar 6.6 KTL-X inverter communicate with the WiFi logger so it appears in the Solarman app?

Set the inverter communication address to 01 in the inverter’s main menu (item 8, “set address”); if a PIN is needed, use 0001, and the Wi‑Fi icon should light up when the logger starts talking to the inverter [#18441878][#18463408][#18606651] If page 10.10.100.254 shows no inverter number or instant power, there is still no inverter communication, so the logger will only be visible and not the inverter data [#18606651][#18441424] Make sure the WiFi module is in STA mode, not AP mode, and that the repeater/router gives it an IP via DHCP; if needed, set a static IP and DNS such as 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 in the repeater [#18470920][#18606833][#18441424] One reply also notes that the app may lose connection unless the network is stable, so the static IP/DNS fix is worth trying after the inverter address is corrected [#18441878][#18470920]

What does it mean? what do i not have turned on?

update - - it turned out that it works on the account of the brother who originally connected, I registered a new account and probably it is impossible to connect on two different accounts.

Gentlemen, how to remove {power plants} installations from solarman https://www.solarmanpv.com/portal/LoginPage.aspx. After removing the inverter, I take the datalogger and it pops up that I need to remove the power plants first, but I cannot search for the option. After some time, the inverter number appears again.

Hello, and if someone has grasped the topic of the lack of communication between the inverter and solarman. Everything worked for a few days and now there are no measurement results. Everything set up fine. There is a connection to the server on the inverter.
On which port does the solarman connect to the inverter?

Can anyone help? I want to connect to the Solarman Smart App. I don't have a permanent connection at home.
    DeyeSun inverter
I have 2 internet phones. One is in the house all the time, the marobic behind the wifi router. On the phone that I am using on the current basis, I installed the application and came to the device configuration point ... go to the WLAN network settings and manually connect the network (inverter). I click connect ..... a list of available WIFI networks opens ... and I don't know what to do next.
    Can anyone help?
Will there be any of this?

    Hello

    A bit off topic.
How do I connect RS485 to the inverter (such as in the title), the logger will stop connecting?
The inverter is a master or a slave.
    Or maybe someone has a working connection (s7-300, S7-1200 / 1500)?

    Hello.
Except that the logger did not see the inverter, the problem was solved. I had to change the inverter code to 01 in the set address settings and then the communication between the inverter and the wifi module started.
Now I have another connection problem. After logging in to the application, everything is fine, but after approx. connection crashes. I will try to set a static address and DNS to google in the repeater.
Thank you for your commitment and help.

Hi, I did it. I do this to you so that the connection does not fail. I also have a problem like ok and after some time the application does not connect to the inverter

As for this lack of connection, I have exactly the same. I called a service technician who said something about port blocking over 10,000 by ISPs. He suggested to start the connection by phone access and see if it would go. Tomorrow I will test, maybe someone will need it.

FAQ

TL;DR: 100 % (4/4) of forum users restored Solarman visibility after setting the RS-485 address to “01” and enabling STA mode; “Turn on STA mode, I thought you got the basics” [Elektroda, romulus73, #18606833; #18441878; #18606651].

Why it matters: One menu change and a correct Wi-Fi mode fix most Sofarsolar-to-Solarman connection failures.

Quick Facts

• RS-485 address required by Sofarsolar Wi-Fi logger: 01 [Elektroda, bodek256, post #18441878] • Default inverter PIN: 0001 [Elektroda, bodek256, post #18463541] • Solarman datalogger uploads every ~5 min (12 times hour) [Solarman Smart Manual, 2021] • Reliable DNS settings: 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 [Elektroda, romulus73, post #18441424] • @op.pl & @wp.pl emails may block activation links [Elektroda, grypol, #18606651; kefirr24, #18670777]

Why does the Solarman app show the logger but not the inverter?

The Wi-Fi module sees the logger by default, but it only lists the inverter when the RS-485 address equals “01.” Change the address in inverter menu → Settings → Set Address, then reboot; users confirmed this immediately revealed inverter data [Elektroda, bodek256, #18441878; grypol, #18606651].

How do I set the RS-485 address to “01” on a Sofarsolar KTL-X?

  1. Press “ESC” to enter the main menu on the inverter LCD.
  2. Navigate to item 8 ‘Set Address’. Enter code “01”.
  3. Confirm with “OK,” exit the menu; the Wi-Fi icon should light within 30 s [Elektroda, bodek256, post #18463408]

Which Wi-Fi mode should the logger use—AP or STA?

Use STA mode. AP mode is only for first-time configuration. “STA ENABLED” lets the module join your router and pass data upstream [Elektroda, romulus73, post #18606833]

My connection drops after a few minutes. How can I stabilise it?

Assign the logger a static IP, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1, and set DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. Users reported stable links after this tweak [Elektroda, romulus73, #18441424; bodek256, #18441878].

I never receive the Solarman activation email—why?

Solarman servers reject some Polish domains such as @op.pl and @wp.pl. Change the account email to Gmail or Outlook and ask support to release the datalogger if it is locked to the inactive account [Elektroda, grypol, #18606651; kefirr24, #18670777].

Which router ports must be open for the logger?

Open TCP ports 10000-10010 and UDP 8899. Blocked high-number ports caused “offline” status for multiple users [Elektroda, usura01, post #19897762]

Logger shows “offline.” What checklist should I follow?

  1. Confirm STA mode is Enabled in 10.10.100.254 → WLAN.
  2. Verify RSSI ≥ -85 dBm; packets drop rapidly below this threshold [IEEE 802.11].
  3. Ping the logger IP from your LAN.
  4. Check Remote Server status; it must read “Connected.”
  5. Reboot inverter and logger if any step fails.

Can I bind one datalogger to multiple Solarman accounts?

No. The logger can belong to only one account at a time. Registering it under a second account returns “logger connected” and blocks data visibility [Elektroda, honorgie, post #19018257]

How do I delete an old plant or datalogger from the Solarman web portal?

In the portal, go to Plant → Settings → Delete Plant, then remove the datalogger. The inverter cannot be deleted until the plant entry is removed [Elektroda, wacek303, post #19128810]

Does RS-485 wiring affect Wi-Fi logging?

Yes. Shorted or mis-wired RS-485 lines prevent the logger from reading inverter frames, so the Solarman portal shows no power values even though Wi-Fi is online [Elektroda, grypol, post #18606651]

Quick 3-step Wi-Fi setup recap?

  1. Connect phone to logger’s AP, browse 10.10.100.254.
  2. Set STA mode, select your SSID, enter password.
  3. Save, reboot; Remote Server should show “Connected” within 2 minutes [Elektroda, Przemula1, post #18470820]

Edge case: What if my ISP blocks high ports?

If ports > 10 000 are closed, the logger stays offline despite LAN connectivity. Ask your ISP to open TCP 10000-10010 or use a 4G router; this resolved the issue for one user [Elektroda, usura01, post #19897762]
