    Good morning.
I have a problem with JBL 500 BT headphones. After charging is connected, the charging LED lights up for about 4 seconds and then starts flashing with a significantly reduced brightness. Headphones cannot be turned on. I do not know if the problem is with charging and they are discharged or they are charged and hence it is possibly flashing and they just broke down and therefore do not want to turn on.
I am asking for help and thank you in advance.
P.S. Brand new headphones, only that I won the competition, I have no guarantee :(

Report to the competition organizer, there is always a guarantee.
    Alternatively, contact JBL Polska support.

Something? Someone? Because I have the same problem, replacing the battery did not help.

I am writing because I have just solved this problem. There is no mention of it on the Internet - but a Pole can! It turns out that this is the result of damage to the cable between the headphones. In the second one there is an Aku, which is why its replacement (because it is functional) does not help. One wire from the power supply fell and it's the whole cymes. You need to replace the cable or solder an additional wire.

In fact, I have a break on "yellow" which wire did you replace?

I followed the line of least resistance, soldered one wire torn from the cable from the inactive charger, put it in the cable ducts of the headphones next to the existing cable (with appropriate slack for movement and adjustment), glued it to a drop in the ducts and on the headband .... and they work. This is not a very sophisticated solution, but it's better than throwing them away after more than 2 years in the trash. They work - and that's what counts. Next time I'll focus on the topic more and look for the right cable for complete replacement :)

I wrote to the manufacturer, he did not take up the repair, replaced with new XD

Topic summary

The JBL 500 BT headphones exhibit a charging LED behavior where the light stays on briefly then flashes dimly, and the device fails to power on. This issue occurs despite the headphones being brand new and possibly out of warranty due to being a competition prize. Initial suggestions include contacting the competition organizer or JBL support for warranty service. A user with the same problem found that replacing the battery did not resolve the issue. The root cause was identified as a damaged internal cable between the headphones, specifically a broken wire in the power supply line. Repair involved soldering an additional wire alongside the damaged cable within the headphone structure, restoring functionality. This solution, while not a full cable replacement, effectively revived the headphones after over two years of use.
