Hi. I bought it recently it`s coming to Xbox One in order to connect to the PC and after a short time I noticed that the "A" button responds poorly to pressing when I press it slightly at an angle, and this happens to me all the time while playing (I didn`t have such a problem with the buttons on the Xbox 360 pad). Pressed evenly and accurately works well, but otherwise the game or the system often does not register the presses.

I found it on the Internet other users` posts ( and here too ), who also have such problems, but I haven`t found any sensible solution. Various people write that replacing a defective item in a store will not help, because subsequent pads have the same problems, as if it were a matter of problematic device design or a manufacturing defect of all pads.

A week ago, I returned my Xbox Elite Series 2 pad for exactly the same reason, because the "ABXY" buttons didn`t work well. The situation then was identical to the current one, only worse, because the problem affected all the buttons, and in addition, that pad was 3 times more expensive than this one, so I definitely regretted the amount spent on it. Therefore, I can believe that Microsoft simply messed something up in all Xbox One pads and it doesn`t matter whether they are regular or Elite - the buttons are simply poorly made.

If necessary, I can post a video to demonstrate the problem, but to start with I will use one I found on the Internet, where the identical problem is shown on an Elite Series 2 pad: YouTube .

If I don`t find a convincing solution, I will probably have to return to the store again next week and this time I won`t buy any more pads. All I can do is continue to use the old Xbox 360 pad.

Can anything be done about this problem after disassembling the pad? Maybe there`s a way to fix it mechanically?

I suggest unscrewing the casing and smearing the button with something slippery, e.g. a lubricant, but carefully and not too much.
    I hope I helped.

Sorry, I have to write something because I need points.
For my part, I agree with what my colleague wrote above.
    Regards

How would this help? The button does not jam and works well, but when it is pressed other than vertically down (and therefore slightly at an angle), it is often not detected.

    aha, sorry for the mistake.
I don`t know why it`s like that, but I also have it on a new pad that`s a week old, so I don`t know how to help you.
