    Hello,
Colleagues, I have a question regarding the choice of fiber optic delivery, after a long waiting time in my town, it is possible to connect to the optical fiber. From what we have found out, there is a choice of two suppliers, Inea and Orange. The entire network was built by Inea and probably belongs to them, I found out (I don't know how true this is) that Orange leases lines from Inea.
I am interested in the speed of 300mb, which is the lowest speed offered by suppliers (I think that it is enough, and if not, you can always increase it). It's a bit strange for me how Orange leases lines and has a more favorable offer, i.e. PLN 15 cheaper per month.
What colleagues do you recommend? In Orange, this service is called FTTH (Fiber To The Home).
Which extra to choose so that there are no problems? I would like to add that I have to be bound by a contract for 2 years.

Apartment or cottage? In Orange, you get an extra PLN 15 per month for the house. As a rule, customers find out about it at the end or just before signing the contract.
Overall, choose what suits you best. Know that distributing the internet / wi-fi to many rooms / rooms is your responsibility. The operator router won't give you super wi fi in many rooms.

I have a 1-story house, good friend that you told about this house, because no one informed me about it on the hotline. So, summing up the price, Inea and Orange will be the same. Is there anything else you should pay attention to? Any hidden costs ??
And the provider provides the router for the price ??
The router is the same as for neostrada or some special one for optical fiber ??

See which operator gives the external IP, preferably fixed but dynamic enough.

And remember that optical fiber doesn't mean you will necessarily have optical fiber in your home.
Do not look at the price and what you get for a given amount: external public IP and independent ONT (you can buy your router and you manage the network, not the operator, because on his router you will not even be able to redirect ports).

I have an optical fiber from orange, 1 Gb / s and I recommend it as much as possible, there has never been any outage in the supply and I have been using it for a year, the provider gives you an external dynamic ip (which changes the router) ports are redirectable. It is true that the router has very limited settings from my point of view, but I think that for an ordinary "Kowalski" it is enough. Theoretically, the router can be changed, but I forgot it.

    I have additional information.
There is a public IP address as standard, additionally for PLN 5 there is a variable public IP address, while a fixed IP address is available only in the offer for companies.

And I also have a question, if I take this standard package (no extra charge for fixed IP), will it be possible to connect monitoring and have remote access?

It depends on what you mount or what you have mounted. Modern branded devices (Dahua or Hikwision) do not need a public IP address, all you need is internet access.

Theoretically, you can make a dynamic dns router since orange allows you to do this, and you connect by name

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around choosing between Inea and Orange for fiber optic internet service at a speed of 300mb. Users highlight that Inea built the network, while Orange leases lines from Inea, leading to a price difference where Orange offers a lower monthly rate. Concerns about hidden costs, router specifications, and the type of IP address provided (dynamic vs. fixed) are raised. Users recommend checking the router's capabilities, as well as the ability to manage network settings independently. Additionally, the compatibility of monitoring systems with the provided IP addresses is discussed, with modern devices not requiring a public IP for remote access.
