    I was asked to set up the printer on an asus laptop (I don't have it, I don't know the model) with a win 10 system.

    The printer is in the system, it is also set by default, when printing from the notepad, I select it again to be sure ... and the system wants to save it as a file.

    I removed the fax and other unnecessary garbage from the printers and restarted the system.
    It is still the same.

    I had a similar problem with the hp printer. Maybe it's a sheet metal matter, but I forgot to open the flaps where the printout comes out.

    The drivers install a special program for the scanner. See if there is no in the Start menu. I have a Canon, it is a folder in the "Canon Utilities" menu and in it a scanner program.
