Well, how? After all, it is clearly visible that one of them is narrower by 0.2 mm

Not only that, suggesting the description of the opa and what I see in the photo:
    - one has plastic rj45 ports and the other metal (in one they are black rather plastic, and in the other silver/white is rather metal),
    - one has support for 802.1p/DSCP QoS and IGMP snooping and the other one does not have IGMP,

It will be (a bit) more expensive because it has IGMP support.

But I wouldn't buy them anyway, Netgear GS105 eats and spits it out and has a lifetime warranty, not like TPLinki only 3 years

It will be a bit more expensive because it draws less energy ;-)

thank you very much for your opinions :-)
    - The LS10*G series just looks to me newer with a newer design but with the same parameters...
    - ports - here I don't need ultra durability, rather everything will be permanently attached so I don't need high 'brutal resistance' :-)
    - yes, IGMP also noticed, although some sources outside the TPLink website claim that it also has this functionality. And even if it didn't have it, would it really change much in the conditions of a home internet network (based on Orange fiber optic cable max 1Gb / s and Mesh TP Link Deco network M9, from which I want to distribute the signal to several devices connected with a cable...) Usually bottlenecks are somewhere else on the servers side, etc... I don't know, because I don't know networks that well....

    - netgear gs105 - and in what is it better (apart from the warranty and potential durability) to justify it practically 2 times higher price (about 120 vs 60 zeta)?

But you are aware that this whole Mesh thing is nothing more than a marketing ploy of the PR department, which I don't know why ( :D ) leads to the wifi amplifier - just such a curiosity, because these amplifiers probably did not sell.

Some buy for years, others for the moment.
When you demand a guarantee from TPLink, you will understand the lower price.
But, if you are already flying at the cost, then maybe Mercusys MS105G - it's also TPLink.

Topic summary

The discussion compares the TP-Link LS105G and TL-SG105 switches, highlighting key differences such as port material (plastic vs. metal), support for IGMP snooping, and QoS features. The LS105G is perceived as a newer design, while the TL-SG105 is noted for its additional features, which may justify its higher price. Users express skepticism about the necessity of IGMP in a home network and discuss alternatives like the Netgear GS105, which offers a lifetime warranty. The conversation also touches on the marketing aspects of mesh networking and suggests considering the Mercusys MS105G as a cost-effective option.
