Oh Lord, that's lucky, because I stopped understanding anything...

Additionally, if you want it in the FMCB settings (FMCB configurator),
there is an option > Go to Browser:
PS2 SCPH-90004 Conversion: Kynar Mod vs FMCB - User's Photos & Console Adaptation Inquiry
I recommend setting it to "Force OFF".
Then it should not "throw" us to the memory card browser, but to the main screen.

Regarding FMCB, did you download the beginner package or pure FMCB?
Did you select Normal, Cross, Multi, etc during installation?

EDIT: Oh, and I found a version that should handle the memory card in both slots:

Frea2@ Fortuna project is now Old. Now the updated version is called FunTuna project. Wip on YouTube FunProject ps2 and you will see how to use it. Videos are in English only.

The easiest way to install is another console with Free McBoot installed. Then you just need to insert the second memory card and run the installation. You can also look for a boot cd image but it works depending on the model. You need a different CD image for each model.

@Devil 678 when it comes to Funtuna, here's the source:
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/funtuna-free-mcboot-for-fortuna.30973/ .

    So yes.
    Quote:
It includes custom versions of Fortuna, Free McBoot, uLaunchELF and the Free McBoot Configurator.

    Includes custom\modified versions...

Also, this makes everything simpler to users of consoles with Browsers v2.30+ (SCPH-900XX and Bravia TVs), since to mod their consoles they now just need to paste a PSU file (which comes with every useful homebrew inside) in their memory card.

In a nutshell, this is for consoles with ROMVER 2.30+.
    However, installation is simplified.

No version of Fortuna (even the modded version) supports all consoles.
Usually SCPH-700XX to SCPH-900XX, which is SLIM, are supported.
I think it still worked with the SCPH-500XX.
This modified Fortuna is based on version 2.

In this package is FMCB 1.8b (somehow modified).
Probably just because you play less with modchips.
FMCB 1.8b does not support SCPH-1XXXX consoles.
If you don't have it... it's better to have 1.966.
In addition, 1.966 can be installed on the HDD via the installer.

I don't know what you mean by "boot cd"?
If FreeDVDBoot does not work with all consoles, it should be burned to DVD-R, not to CD (CD-R).
For now there are versions for all SLIM consoles, with some versions of DVD-Player 2.10, and for 2.12\3.04.

There are many ways to install FMCB.
As you wrote, it may be a different console from FMCB.
It can be console with modchip, SwapMagic, etc.

This package is useless for consoles with ROMVER 2.20 or lower.
