How to change parameters in Motus PRO electric scooters?
Factory settings in electric scooters allow you to use the equipment safely and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. However, more demanding users may care about adjusting the parameters to their own driving style. That is why we suggest how to change the parameters in Motus PRO electric scooters (8.5, 10, 10 Sport).
How to change parameters in 3 easy steps
1. With the display on, press the POWER and MODE buttons at the same time (for about 2-3 seconds).
2. To change the programs, press the POWER button (in this way, we go through the next functions - from P01 to P20).
3. The values of the program data can be changed by pressing the MODE button (until the expected parameter value is obtained).
Remember that after a period of inactivity (about 3-4 seconds), the display will automatically return to the home screen. To re-enter the settings, go back to step 1.
Which parameters can be changed?
Please note that not all parameters can be changed! It's extremely important. Some values should remain in their original state. Otherwise, the device may be damaged.
Factory settings for Motus Motus PRO10, PRO10 Sport and PRO8.5 scooters are presented as Pxx-xxx, where "Pxx" is the parameter number and "xxx" is its value (below showing factory settings).
Features that can be safely customized include:
P01-003: Display Backlight Brightness (scale 1-3) - Factory Default for All Models: 2
P02-000: Unit of measurement km/mile (0-km, 1-mile) - factory setting: km
P04-005: Automatic shutdown timer (range: 1-15 seconds, Motus PRO10 Sport 1-60 seconds) - factory default: 5
P08-100: Power limit, scale from 25% to 100% - factory default: 100%
P09-000: Zero start/push start (0 - zero start, 1 - push back start) - factory default: 0
P11-001: Electric Brake, Scale 1 to 5 - Factory Default: 1
P12-003: Acceleration, scale 1 to 5 - factory default: 3
P17-000: Cruise Control (1 - Enabled, 0 - Disabled) - Factory Default: 0
There are also functions that are not used (P05, P10, P13, P14, P18, P19, P20). On the other hand, parameters such as voltage, wheel diameter, number of magnets in the motor, or ODO zeroing should not be adjusted by yourself! Otherwise, it may have a negative impact on your scooters.
Remember that you make any changes at your own risk, and the producers are not responsible for incorrect settings made by users!
