Hello, I have a problem with the phone, Samsung S9 +, but probably a minor model. When calling someone who has a phone "I think" also from this company, the name of my company is displayed on the screen and the same thing happens in the other direction. Sometimes I want to call anonymously and I am determined to good morning ? It seems to me that I saw the word smart under the caller, but I do not know if it matters. How to remove the number identification, i.e. this name?

In the call settings you have the option 'Caller ID and spam protection' turned on. You have to turn it off on 'someone's' phone and you will only see the phone number.

Change the number and do not disclose it to the public.

With some operators you can sometimes temporarily disable sending your own number either before the call or by adding the appropriate code by the phone number on which you want to call. I would look in this direction, although be aware that not everyone wants to answer anonymous numbers.

Basically it's a smart call as @yanes mentioned. Samsung probably uses the Hiya service, which has the option to remove the number from the list, so you can write to them, https://www.hiya.com/products-smart-call

The information about spam or fraud suits me very well and they are always telemarketers. I want to keep this function, but I don't want my company name to be displayed, only the standard phone number.

We did not understand each other. This is not something you can control from your phone. You would have to disable this feature on the devices of the people you are calling, and you are unable to do so.

Then you have two options. Either disable the sending of your own number before calling (there are such options for different operators), but then the recipient will not display the number at all, or contact the company that manages the database (it should be the one I gave in the previous post) which this function uses and ask for your number to be removed from their database.

The third option was to buy a new card and make calls from it. The S9 + sold with us seems to have the option of using two SIM cards at the same time, so you would have a fairly easy opportunity to decide whether you want the recipient to see that you are calling as a company (calling from the first SIM card) or from a "private" number (from the second card SIM).

Thanks for the explanation, but something is wrong, because when a friend calls me, the word Piotr appears, why doesn't the name of his company appear?
It has to be turned off or changed, but how. It has been showing up for about a month, a regular customer told me about it - it shows up on his phone. Does this service apply only to Samsung phone owners?

Because you have him in your contacts saved as Piotr and the phone does not look for the name for this number on the Internet.

Maybe his company is not in the database, and instead, the name with which you have saved his contact on your phone was displayed. These types of functions are basically designed to display information about an unknown number, i.e. about someone you do not have saved in your contacts.

Samung uses the Hiya base. Phones with a dialer application pre-installed, e.g. from Google, use other solutions. You can also install separate applications for this type of thing that will download information about the number from another source. Too many variables.

Somewhere your number has been linked to your company and there is little chance that you will cancel it. Restricting a number is the only option. I have the same problem, but I consciously gave up my private and company number in order to have one, and personally I don't mind.

    Hello
I have a slightly different question related to this smart call because I only read everywhere that people have a problem that their private / company numbers are presented as a company and for me the situation is the other way around, there is a telephone in the company stationary from which, when you call the cell phone, you recognize it as one of the employees by first and last name - is there any option to assign this landline number to another description, is it all happening from the machine?

I join the question. My number, in turn, is displayed by others as Honda Ufo ..., no idea why, where to change to either display my number or name but real and not this one

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Samsung S9+ user experiencing an issue where their company name is displayed instead of their phone number when making calls, particularly to other Samsung devices. Solutions proposed include disabling the 'Caller ID and spam protection' feature in the call settings, which may require action on the recipient's device. Users also mentioned the possibility of temporarily disabling number display through specific operator codes or contacting the Hiya service, which manages caller identification. The conversation highlights the complexities of caller ID systems, including how contact names are displayed based on saved information and database associations. Some users shared similar experiences with their numbers being displayed incorrectly, suggesting a broader issue with number identification services.
