HEY, I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE GENESIS PAD, MODEL TO PV58. WHEN MOVING, UNfortunately, I lost the ORIGINAL USB RECEIVER WHICH WAS ATTACHED TO THE PAD. AFTER CONNECTING THE PAD TO THE PC VIA CABLES, THE DEVICE IS NOT DETECTED BY THE SYSTEM (WIN.7 X64). I WILL ADD THAT I TRIED TO CONNECT TO PLAY STATION 3 WITHOUT A RECEIVER - NOTHING HAPPENED

    QUESTION 1

CAN THE ORIGINAL RECEIVER BE REPLACED BY ANY OTHER?

    QUESTION 2

DOES ANYONE KNOW A WAY TO CONNECT THE PAD VIA A USB CABLE?

I WILL ADD THAT AFTER HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON FOR 8 SECONDS, THE PAD SHOULD CHANGE MODES FROM AT LEAST X360 TO PS3 MODE - IT DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS? :) HELP!

    He should change.
In D-Input mode, it can be connected to a computer via a USB cable.
The mode change can be recognized by the fact that in the D-Input mode, pressing the middle button changes the lighting mode - the first diode and the first and second diodes (changing the analog operating mode).
And please, don`t write in CapsLock, it never ends well ;)

@tee2bitz Instead of coming up with nonsense, maybe you could enlarge the font in your browser? Ctrl + mouse wheel forward.

I recommend increasing the font on your device, there are such options both on most new phones and in Windows 10, from what I remember - display settings and accessibility settings.

IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, SWITCHING THE MODE WORKED, BUT ONLY WHEN THE PAD WAS PAIRED WITH THE RECEIVER. WHEN THE PAD IS TURNED OFF, SHOULD I PRESS WHEN THE LEDS ARE ALREADY BLINKING? NEED TO HOLD 8 SECONDS? AT THIS MOMENT, WHETHER THE PAD IS CONNECTED OR NOT, ALL THE LEDS ARE BLINKING (AFTER CONNECTING AT A DIFFERENT SPEED)

Make sure that the cable you connect it with supports data transmission.
The pad should be turned on and only then should the mode be changed.

Do you have all drivers installed?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Genesis PV58 game pad, which is not being detected by a Windows 7 x64 system after the user lost the original USB receiver. The user inquires about the possibility of replacing the original receiver and connecting the pad via USB cable. Responses suggest that the pad can be connected in D-Input mode using a compatible USB cable, and that the mode change should occur when the pad is powered on. It is also noted that the correct cable must support data transmission, and all necessary drivers should be installed. The user expresses confusion about the mode switching process, particularly when the pad is not paired with the receiver.
