Because there are always groups of people who, regardless of the situation, are always dissatisfied with everyone and everything. Even if they won several hundred million zlotys in the lottery, they would still complain about how little money they have.

As I have been working for a Pomeranian supplier for almost 12 years (I was an electrician and later a warehouseman), I was always surprised that people say "Lord, how expensive electricity is" - it was about complaints and sending the meter for an expert opinion.
As many as the complaint counters passed through my hands, there are hundreds. Believe me, the actual errors and exceedances in the accuracy class of the meter are maybe 10% of the actual claims. The rest is ignorance (or the inability to use electricity). And there are also situations like theft by a neighbor (oh it happens).

If my friends say that they pay less, I always ask not about the amount, but the amount of kWh.

If we want to advertise (and play with metrology), we can check ourselves whether, for example, it is counting without load (let's turn off the fuses behind the meter and check the status in an hour).

As for the author: if the daily consumption is at the level of 10 to 12 kWh, it is the most normal. It is important how much energy we use and how we are billed for it (additional fees).

That's great, 300kW / month :) For me it is about 800 / month. 3 people, TV, 3 computers, 1 x multisplit air conditioning 7kW for 3 rooms 1 air conditioning 5kW - air conditioning only for heating. I'm talking about the winter season.

It depends on the context of the conversation. Sometimes they pay less when they want to show off their savings in use, and other times they complain about the amount of bills when the conversation is what they are doing now.

It is not profitable to change the tariff because the hours of energy use are very unstable and mainly at peak times,

You tell :) in G12W you have all weekends and holidays in the night tariff, the average is 50gr / kWh, so it pays off. A washing machine, dishwasher can be programmed for e.g. 13 or 22.
Besides, every six months you can change the tariff for free, it's worth trying. The G13 is even more interesting, but not all operators have it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the electricity consumption of a single-family house, specifically questioning whether a monthly usage of 300 kWh is normal. The user notes a forecasted bill of PLN 278, which raised concerns given their previous payments of PLN 220. They mention using various appliances, including two freezers, a fridge, computers, and TVs, contributing to their consumption. Responses indicate that 300 kWh/month is typical for a household, especially during colder months, and emphasize the importance of monitoring actual usage versus forecasted billing. Some participants suggest switching to monthly billing to avoid overestimations and discuss the impact of different tariff structures on costs. The conversation also touches on the accuracy of old versus electronic meters and the significance of idle power consumption from devices.
