Hello. Is it possible to set your own channel list in evobox from netia? At the moment, the order is random (more precisely, it is set by the operator) and I have mixed 80 channels available with 200 unavailable. I've dug through all the options and I'm 99.99% sure it won't work. But maybe it's somehow buried like that? At the moment I watch at most the first 20 channels because searching 300 (of which 220 unavailable) is a drama.

Something was configured there on 1 startup and that's it. There is nothing in the configuration to indicate the possibility of adding or removing a channel. There is a FAVORITE button on the remote but I don't know what it does. Nothing to see.

So maybe you should read the information that appears on the screen and not choose to search for all channels?

I suggest you look at something called INSTRUCTIONS.

    1. it so happens that the technician from netia turned it on
    2. it so happens that for several months I had all the channels available, so it was advisable to select them (although I do not know if it was possible to choose anything at all)

I suggest not to write nonsense.

I suggest taking the remote control in your hand and going through the options available in the menu instead of whining that you can't.

I have had Evobox from Netia since December 2020. Since then, I have made several attempts to set up my own channel list. I did not find practically any descriptions in the manual or on the Internet, what was left was what someone suggested in this thread: the remote control in hand and click through the options in the decoder.

For now I managed to define a list of favorite channels and when viewing the channel list I know how set the filter so that only your favorites are visible . You can also define your own freely named channel lists. They appear for selection when filtering next to "Favorites". There is no way to change the channel order.

In my opinion, evobox support in terms of favorite channels, named channel lists and filtering is unintuitive. There are four different views of the channel list, each is handled a little differently, it's easy to get lost.

Now I'm throwing in a short basic tips for favorites. If there is anything unclear or more interest, I will take pictures of the TV screen of key places.

    Tips:
    * filtering by list of favorite channels is not visible anywhere in the evobox start interface. Only after adding the first channel to favorites, this option becomes active, i.e. "Favorites" appears in various places of various channel filtering options. Previously, there is only "All", "Information", "Movie", etc.
    * adding a channel to favorites can be done from several views, for example from EPG (EPG button on the remote control). There, when browsing the options, there is "Add to favorites" (or something like that)
    * then, after adding one or more channels to your favorites, you just have to click various buttons on the remote control when you are in one of the several available views of the channel list. Up/down/right/left arrows to switch between subviews, 'options' button, sometimes OK
    * as I mentioned, I still get lost in the multitude of options. You can view the channel list in several ways from different places. In one of these views, you can set default filtering. At the start, the default filtering is "All". There, I switched the filtering to "Recently viewed" and ... that's what I left in the decoder :-) I don't know how to go back to that view and change it to "Favorites" permanently.

To sum up: I added selected channels to the list of favorites, thanks to which I can switch to "Favorites" filtering in the EPG view. I don't know yet how to set "Favorites" filtering permanently as default. It's probably just a matter of time and re-clicking to accidentally get back to that screen where the default filtering is set.

Thanks for the detailed answer. It's not good news though. I wonder what the person who designed one of the most important functions in this way was thinking. But maybe I should be glad anyway that I didn't have to install any suspicious app on my phone, the channels are not stored in the Chinese cloud and you don't need a Facebook account to watch.

To close the thread: I was able to set my favorites list as default. Now, immediately after turning on the decoder, you can see only the channels that I previously marked as favorites, the lists are not cluttered with dozens of unavailable items.
It is done in such a way that on one of the few (in my opinion unintuitive) lists of channels, you need to select filtering by favorites, and then - and this is the key step - with such filtering, select a channel, actually switch to it by ' WATCH'. Then the filtering setting is saved and only the default channels are shown.

I confirm the above. Especially sentences with the word "non-intuitive" and all its variations. You can do exactly the same thing 15 times and each time it's a problem to get to a specific menu.

I will add (because I don't think it was) that it doesn't necessarily have to be a "favorites" list. There you can do more of these lists.

Well, it's not possible to sort the lists according to your own whim. You can either alphabetically by channel names or by original numbers.

It is possible to set your own order of programs in the evobox, but it is not easy and pleasant.
In the selection of the channel list, select FAVORITES on the selected list, select the program, then the physical button on the remote control Options, select ACTIONS, select ORDER, enter and the program you want to move to another position, confirm OK and move to the selected position. Press OK and then be sure to CONFIRM.
And this is how we can make life easier for ourselves and others ?.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Netia EvoBox and the challenges users face in creating a custom channel list. Users express frustration over the inability to reorder channels, as the default setup is determined by the operator, resulting in a mix of available and unavailable channels. Some users have discovered that while a favorites list can be created, the process is unintuitive and cumbersome. A solution was shared where users can set their favorites as the default view by filtering the channel list and confirming the selection. However, the overall experience is described as non-intuitive, with limited options for organizing channels beyond alphabetical or original numbering.
