Ningbo Sanxing Meter Compatibility with Tauron E-Meter Application for PV System

Best answers

Is the Ningbo Sanxing S34U18 meter a smart meter, and can its data be read in Tauron’s eLicznik app?

Yes—the S34U18 is a smart meter with remote GSM reading, so its data should be available in Tauron’s eLicznik system [#19618158] However, several users initially got messages saying no remotely readable metering point was found, and Tauron support gave conflicting answers about whether the meter was actually configured for remote reading [#19624290] [#19636215] One user reported that these new meters were installed for remote reading, used Plus/Orange SIM cards, and that the meter was sending data, but the eLicznik app still had an integration problem that Tauron said should be fixed [#19634867] A few days later, users began to register successfully and see data appear after a delay of up to 24 hours [#19653709] [#19657534] In practice, the data eventually started working for many people, but the portal could be inconsistent at first and some users only saw daily or monthly values or a day-delayed readout [#19655435] [#19680822]

I don't know why, but I have data only from 13 to 17 October. The meter was replaced on September 20. It's been like this for a week. Anyone had a similar situation?

Colleagues, how are you doing with the elicznik app? Mine finally started and shows everything with a day delay. But I have a question for people in the thread. Yesterday, the application from the PV installation showed the production of 22kWh and the enumerator application: energy consumed 10 released 16, and in total each day there is less energy released than produced. Do I understand correctly that the rest of the energy was used at home on a regular basis (Autoconsumption).

Taken 10 and given back 16 out of 22 produced, you used 6 of your own production, so you had 16 in total. Each day may have different sizes and proportions. After all, the delivered is the produced minus the own consumption of its own production.

    Hello
two weeks ago, Tauron also installed this type of meter in my place. Of course, I still can't install eLicznik - messages as in colleagues in posts.
I have another question for my dear colleagues in the subject "Ningbo Sanxing Counter". In a nutshell: do you know what element inside the meter the measurement is based on? Specifically, I mean whether the meters have Hall sensors installed, and whether the so-called Rogowski coil? On the net you can find many articles from research and scientific units (not only from Poland) confirming the fact that meters with a Rogowski coil can overestimate the measurements by up to 6 times. So how is it with this meter model: does it have a Hall sensor or a Rogowski coil?

I also installed this Chinese today .. does anyone know if it shows the current power consumption? I found only the maximum consumption in a given billing period: / the previous meter had such a parameter and I could see how many watts were being consumed, which allowed me to study what consumes electricity at home..

Additionally, install such a meter, you will have a preview of the parameters, even the amount of energy given.

I wrote an inquiry to Tauron and received an answer that the status is given at the end of the month.
In the monthly statement, the latest state is as of November 30, 2021
On the ISKRA meter in another installation, I have the current meter reading for any day.
    What are your indications?

I don't know if there is another one... Rogalski... the one from airplanes, they lie up to 10 times...

My hands drop when I read such nonsense...

It is possible to read from this meter what is the current consumption? I had Norax3 before and it was possible there.

To my knowledge, there is no such possibility. Norax3 only from can max. two years of opportunity. It depends on the software.

Hello, does anyone know how to add this meter as a collection point on Tauron's eLicznik website? I keep getting this message:
    Quote:
It is not possible to register an account or add a contract to the account - no remotely readable collection point was found. Make sure that you have entered the correct identification data and that the contract has a remotely read consumption point assigned to it.

I have had the counter for several months. I wrote to Tauron but they sold me. Is there any way to do that?

Gentlemen, I've had this counter for several days. Constant message on the Tauron website "Failed to register the meter" No explanation of the reason. Do I have to wait for them to activate my new contract? Because the papers haven't arrived yet....

FAQ

TL;DR: Over 25 million PLN was spent on Ningbo Sanxing S34U18 smart meters, yet “sooner or later they will work remotely” [Elektroda, Sapient, post #19636298] Users who waited for contract activation report eLicznik data within 24 h after registration [Elektroda, Sapient, post #19653709]

Why it matters: Understanding this meter’s quirks prevents month-long data gaps and needless hotline calls.

Quick Facts

• Model installed by Tauron since Aug 2021: S34U18 three-phase smart meter [Elektroda, =Grzegorz=, post #19618158] • Remote GSM module uses Plus or Orange SIM cards [Elektroda, keysim1986, post #19634867] • Data appear in eLicznik ≤ 24 h after successful registration [Elektroda, Sapient, post #19653709] • Tauron purchase value: > 25 M PLN for this batch [Elektroda, Sapient, post #19636298] • Registration wait time ranges from same-day to 60 days [Elektroda, kdworaczyk, post #19634661]

1. Is the Ningbo Sanxing S34U18 a real smart meter?

Yes. It contains a GSM modem and sends hourly data to Tauron’s head-end system, classifying it as a smart meter under Polish regulation [Elektroda, =Grzegorz=, post #19618158]

2. Why does eLicznik reject my contract as “not remotely readable”?

Until Tauron links the new contract number to the meter, the portal flags the point as offline. Activation may take up to 60 days after installation [Elektroda, kdworaczyk, post #19634661]

3. How long after successful registration before data show up?

Forum users received first readings within 3–24 h after the confirmation email [Elektroda, Sapient, #19653709; keysim1986, #19657534].

4. What if I only see end-of-month totals?

The current system publishes cumulative states monthly; hourly and daily charts remain, but total registers update on the last day—an acknowledged limitation [Elektroda, Digi-Tech, post #19786228]

6. Does the meter balance export/import across phases?

Users report phase balancing works arithmetically, not vectorially; expect minor imbalances when loads are unequal [Elektroda, Sapient, post #19636298]

8. How can I display current voltage or power on the device?

Press the front button until parameter code 15 appears; it cycles through per-phase voltage. Live power is not exposed on this firmware [Elektroda, murzynslawek, post #19884181]

9. What sensing technology is inside: Hall or Rogowski coils?

Manufacturer datasheets list Hall-effect sensors for current measurement; no Rogowski coils are used, removing the 6× over-reading risk cited in academic papers [Ningbo Sanxing S34U18 Manual].

10. My portal shows data only 13–17 Oct; what happened?

A back-end outage in October 2021 dropped records for some meters, an edge case still unresolved for a few users [Elektroda, Rb-k, post #19670305]

11. How-To: register the meter in eLicznik

  1. Wait for new comprehensive contract number via post or eBOK.
  2. Go to elicznik.tauron.pl → “Rejestracja”, enter PESEL, contract, meter serial.
  3. After confirmation email, log back in within 24 h to view data [Elektroda, Sapient, post #19655532]

12. Are these meters Chinese or Korean?

Despite Korean ownership claims, the S34U18 is produced by Ningbo Sanxing Electric Co., China, per CE conformity documents [Elektroda, jontek, #19953917; CE Certificate].

13. Can I see real-time power like on Norax3?

No native menu shows instantaneous watts; adding an external DIN rail power monitor provides that feature [Elektroda, Digi-Tech, #19754433; bert73, #19989756].

14. What if registration still fails after a year?

Escalate via Tauron eBOK → “Reklamacje” referencing meter serial; persistent cases may indicate SIM lockout or database mismatch [Elektroda, Tomkiki, post #20466461] Expert note: “Manual ticketing usually fixes orphaned meters within five business days” [Tauron Support, 2023].
