Hello help please will these two memory sticks work together
I have a DDR3 8GB PC3 memory from an old computer I wanted to put it in the new one but I don't know if I can and I wouldn't want to burn something and I know that PC3 and PC3L are at different voltages. But I have read on some forums that it works for some so maybe I can do it too. Please help:) Below pictures of the memory and motherboard.
    Greetings

PC3 runs at 1.5V and PC3L runs at 1.35V but most L modules are dual voltage. I checked, your PC3Ls are on 1.35/1.5V according to the specs, so they will work.
As you can see, however, something is not cooperating there. After inserting the PC3 die, the computer tries to boot but still it doesn't work out))) So I guess I will have to suffice with 8GB:) .

Ah, because I looked at it the other way around.
If you had PC3 memory in the computer, you could add PC3L, then both would work on 1.5V. But if you give it the other way around (which would mean that the RAM on the board is powered by 1.35V) then that PC3 won't work.
You can still go into the BIOS and set the RAM supply voltage to 1.5V. It should help.
Compatibility of DDR3 8GB PC3 Memory with PC3L - Voltage Differences and Risks Compatibility of DDR3 8GB PC3 Memory with PC3L - Voltage Differences and Risks I wouldn't want to mess up and I'm afraid of the BIOS:) I have two options there Quick and expert. I understand that in which option (probably in expert in my opinion) there is a change of voltage and if I change the voltage I will not burn something or crash this new memory bone??:) I am always afraid to mess with the BIOS.

Most likely one of the memory slots is defective; hence my problem.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the compatibility of DDR3 8GB PC3 memory with PC3L memory, focusing on voltage differences. PC3 operates at 1.5V, while PC3L typically runs at 1.35V but can be dual voltage. Users confirm that PC3L modules can work with PC3 memory if the system is set to 1.5V. However, inserting PC3 memory into a system designed for PC3L may lead to boot issues unless the BIOS voltage settings are adjusted. Concerns about BIOS adjustments and potential risks are addressed, with reassurance that most motherboards are safe to modify within specified voltage limits. Ultimately, one user suspects a defective memory slot as the cause of their issues.
