    Hello
I found an 8GB RAM memory (I used to buy it from a guest there)
Because I needed an additional 8GB of RAM, I added III ... it didn't move
The computer does not turn on
Entering the memory model, I found only a similar server one
    On the memory it says:
    8GB 2Rx4 PC3L - 10600R - 9 -10 - E1
    HMT31GR7BFR4A - HS T2 AE

Welcome. by searching by model you can find out that this is ECC memory, so it is not suitable for ordinary consumer discs. In the designation 10600R - the letter R stands for Registered type memory. So it's ECC Registered memory.

For typical home boards you need memory without ECC and unbuffered (Unbuffered / Unregistered) - usually they do not have additional markings. Check the specifications of your motherboard which memory it supports.

Normal ones like I'd like to put in a typical computer (2X 4GB DDR3 are included)
So probably will not support (HDD diode flashes cyclically as I add this memory)
    EDIT:
So this is sewer memory from what I understood

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

the motherboard is Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P FX

    Let's hope not :)

Ordinary DDR3, but not ECC, which you are trying to add.

Let's assume that yes, people associate the ECC RAM mechanism only with servers. It can therefore be assumed in a simplified way.

Yes, I add memory on a turned off computer after starting the only thing you do is flash the LED cyclically
    2 I put 2X memory there
    DDR3 4GB PC3 - 10600 DIMM
PS: I mean that the computer does not turn on when I have this 8GB bone added, because without it the computer works normally

    This is it, right?
    8GB 2Rx4 PC3L-10600R-9-10-E1: Troubleshooting Server Memory & Compatibility Issues
This is ECC memory and the disc does not support it.

    Yes, that's right.
    Thanks for the help

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting compatibility issues with an 8GB RAM module labeled as 8GB 2Rx4 PC3L-10600R-9-10-E1, which is identified as ECC Registered memory. The user attempted to add this memory to a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P FX motherboard, which does not support ECC memory, leading to the computer failing to power on. Responses clarify that typical consumer motherboards require unbuffered (unregistered) DDR3 memory without ECC. The user confirmed that the computer operates normally without the ECC RAM installed.
