    Hi

As orange fiber optic changes its address every few days, I would like to assign it to DDNS. Do you know which of the providers assigned to funbox 6 is the most stable, proven (free)?

    Thank you for the tip.

I can only say that I have been using No-IP for several years and had no problems (when there were regular requests for IP updates, I didn`t even have to go to the website and refresh it manually). Both from FunBox (2.0, but the software is similar) and from the Linux client. Well, in many places free domains are simply blacklisted. As far as I know, the IP used to change every 24 hours.

I see. Since I`ve never used it, I wanted to check if it works. If it`s a price like PLN 100/year, I can test paid ones. Can anyone recommend something proven?
I need access to services, so I`m researching the topic.

If you have a machine that is constantly turned on and active, you can use any DDNS provider by installing a client on it. The DDNS client does not need to be on the router. If you do this, for example, DDNS at OVH works well with your own domain for about PLN 30/year and an unlimited number of subdomains.

    Can Synology do it?

On Windows I use Marcs Updater. I don`t know about Synology, but look for "DDNS Updater Synology". Anyway, I think you can use OVH on the built-in Synology client.

Of all these DNSs in the free version, I can recommend Afraid. I have been using it for several years. Once every six months or maybe even less often, they remind you that you need to log in to your account so that it does not expire. It`s better than No-IP, which sends an email every two weeks and tells you to click to make the domain work (apart from this annoyance, no-IP also works well).

No-ip com works fine, only once a month there is an email saying you need to confirm you are still using it.
