I have a cassette from Rainmann CD2000 and I don't know the installer code.

    How can it be received?

Which kind of EEPROM is used (where it's located)

And what is it supposed to give? Except that absolutely nothing?

Until we hooked up the old CD2000 tester to check it out, and no, that's total rubbish.

@ clayer83 The only method is to perform a factory reset - which of course involves data loss. Turn off the power from the kit -> find two pins [INIT] (close to the processor) -> connect them (with a jumper or something conductive) -> power on the system -> when it starts to "count down", remove the connection of pins [INIT] -> code installer will be restored to the original one - precede the code with the combination 130 257.
If you need instructions, write to our e-mail address.

The only way is to perform factory reset - which will result in data loss, obviously. Power the system down -> look for two [INIT] pins (near the CPU) -> connect them together (using jumper or other conductive material) -> power the system up -> when the "counting" starts - remove the connection from the [INIT] pins -> original admin code will now be restored - prefix it with 130 257 combination.

Physical reset cannot be turned off. P-6 is a software reset and it can be turned off.

You did what I wrote before:

    ?

When entering the code, do you prefix it with "130 257" when [---] is displayed? Maybe that's the problem?

The EEPROM reader will give you access to the raw memory contents - it will also give you the ability to easily corrupt the code if you click the wrong thing.

    ------------

Phisical reset cannot be disabled. [P-6] relates to software reset, and that, indeed - can be disabled.

Did you do, what was said earlier:

    ?

When inputing code, do you put the "130 257" combination, while [---] is displayed? May that be the reason?

EEPROM reader gets you to the raw contents of memory - but also gives you opportunity to break the code, if You click the wrong things.

Thanks, I try later to make a hard reset.

    When I input 130257 - - - still remains this is OK.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around retrieving the installer code for the Rainmann CD2000 cassette. Users suggest pressing the C key and another key simultaneously after powering on, but this method is deemed ineffective. A more reliable solution involves performing a factory reset, which entails powering down the device, connecting two specific pins near the processor, and then powering it back on to restore the original installer code, prefixed with "130 257". One user mentioned that the physical reset cannot be disabled, while a software reset (P-6) can be. An EEPROM reader was ordered to access raw memory contents, but caution is advised as incorrect actions may corrupt the code. Ultimately, a successful hard reset was reported, restoring functionality.
